To be fair to them, I think that t-shirt is despicable.

FIne, perhaps the t-shirt (and chant) is a tad distasteful.
But hang on....

He seems a little confused, he wants to shut down the website?? -- or simply discuss the selling of a shirt most of us probably wouldnt buy anyway?
''ways of shutting down a website which harms relationships'' bit dramatic.
Just speak to scott about it mate! - simple

Tossers. The fact that they had to ask anyone who complains not to make reference to Munich shows a special kind of oblivious.

In fairness, THE range of merchandise is hopefully about to be launched on RoM. It will feature the numbers 1 and 9!

The T-shirt is a bit tactless in fairness. We'd be up in arms and probably start a similar campaign if we found a t-shirt mocking the Munich crash. And rightly so.

They actually did have a massive hand in the deaths of quite a few people. It was Liverpool fans who broke through the barrier and caused the crush. Munich, meanwhile, was a tragedy for an entire nation. A freak accident and the fault of no-one directly connected to the club. If we made a t-shirt about Hillsboro', then I could understand them getting their knickers in a twist.

I'm surprised they could find such a design considering the mass amount Scott has put on there =)

I'm with Bestie on this one. Singing about heysel is like singing about Marlon King being a rapist, which I'm fine with, while singing about Hillsbourough/Munich is like singing about somebody who got raped, which is out of order.

Exactly, the distinction must be made. I'm sure there are many Liverpool fans despise the scum who effectively committed mass murder in Heysel and may take offence that they're painted with the same brush, but that doesn't really appear to be the issue. I'd find it a lot more logical if Juventus fans were up in arms about it.

its remarkable how short there memories are. After heysel happened and the repercussions started, Thatcher banning english teams from europe etc, the liverpool secretary at the time (robinson?) blamed chelsea fans the week after when everyone in football knew the true nature of the 'friendly scouse welcome'. If you looked at the banners in the liverpool end in belgium there were numerous references to Munich some of which was obscene and upsetting. They never really acknowledged Heysel for over 20 years, witness the Juve fans at anfield a few years ago when they turned their backs to the pitch during the minutes silence.
It was only when they were on the receiving end 4 years later that the penny dropped as to what constitues a tragedy and whilst its understandable the hillsborough memorial takes precedence at anfield, i understand the heysel 'memorial' is only a plaque.
I would hope genuine united fans never sing about hillsborough as they did repeatedly about our tragdy (and cidi still do now although listening to some commentators its just banter!!!) but get off your hypocritcal bandwagon cos it don't wash.... there's a pun in here somewhere.
