That will have to do.
Better than the Villa game, the possession statistic doesn't surprise me, Scholes and Carrick orchestrated the midfield well, like they should be doing. Sunderland were plucky, but were only ever going to get anything out of the game with the help of our mistakes (which they nearly did).
The defence was shaky again. Evans is clearly nervous all the time and Neville hasn't caught up with the Premiership all season. Vidic needs Ferdinand back with him to recover his form, and O'shea is fine as a stand in but nothing more really.
Praise to Rooney for the effort he put in on the wing, as always a thoroughly committed performance.
Can't really believe Kiko did it again. But was it luck or genius. At first sight, I thought it was a fluke, but having seen it again, maybe it was skill.
Who actually cares though? KIKOOOOOOOO

i actually thought we played alrite in the first half. rooney...well what can i say, he is a legend. was in everything in the first half. we then sloped off a bit. but managed to get away with the result. i dont think we played particularly bad but that we were unlucky. dont know how many 'just misses' we had, but there was alot. in the end we got the win we needed, so credit to the boys, but can we do it easier next game, please. im 21 and already gona have a heart attack.

Gary Neville booked for diving in the box.....a Scholes headed goal...Ronaldo tracking back and generally looking arsed....must be some sort of bizarro universe

dont know how many 'just misses' we had, but there was alot. In fairness, Sunderland had a few too. Defence was as shakey as a wino in rehab but in the end the points are in the bag and that's the most important thing at the moment. Mate, if you're having heart palpatations at 21, spare a thought for what it's like for us old 'uns!

The way I see it is.. we're running out of games at the moment at that's another one down. We are playing crap recently but inevitably that's going to have to change once our main defence is back from injury.

First half was good but then the 2nd totally slipped. Ronaldo and Macheda made a difference coming on and even with our defensive worries it's great that players like that can have such a big impact on the game. At the end of the day it's another 3 points. Now a better performance in Porto please!
