2 rounds tops. Chisora is an awful boxer and 2bh with the fight he's just had against Whyte he needs to be going forwards now and not backwards. Someone like Deontay Wilder or Bryant Jennings. He's currently 9th in the world so needs to start pushing up against better boxers that are going to improve him. This is why I don't understand how Fury got a fight with Klitschko, he's leapfrogged about 20 boxers to get a title fight and has done nothing to warrant one. There are plenty of other fighters in the division that should have been given a shot. On this basis Joshua should be looking at a title fight in 2016 which is why he should be going forwards and not backwards. Chisora is certainly a step backwards. Listen to the ex-pro commentators, I agree with them. Chisora is better than you are giving him credit for. The Whyte match highlighted a few weaknesses for Joshua that he really needs to work on before facing a Wilder or Jennings. Thing with Chisora, he'll be savvier than Whyte was. Could go for Helenius though, that would be an interesting one. Yeah I agree, I don't think Chisora is a bad next fight for him. He'll pretty much definitely beat Chisora, which is obviously important as from a money perspective you don't want him to lose right now and Chisora has a lot of experience in big fights. Had Whyte had more experience, he could've maybe taken AJ a little further in terms of rounds, although that knockout was always going to arrive at some point. Chisora will be a different test for AJ and that's what he needs right now. If you go ahead and try to get him in there with Wilder right now, you're taking a risk. There's no need to risk anything at this stage.

Billy Joe Saunders beats Andy Lee for WBO middleweight title
By Ben Dirs BBC Sport
19th Dec 2015- Boxing Saunders knocked Lee down twice in the third round at the Manchester ArenaEngland's Billy Joe Saunders outpointed champion Andy Lee to secure the WBO middleweight title in Manchester.
Saunders floored the Irishman twice with right hooks in the third and Lee rarely employed his vaunted left cross.
Saunders, 26, Britain's 12th world champion, won by majority decision, the judges scoring it 115-111, 114-112 and 113-113 in the challenger's favour.
Liverpool's Liam Smith retained his WBO light-middleweight title earlier with a seventh-round stoppage of Jimmy Kelly.
While some might have expected a contest between two Travellers - Lee is an Irish Traveller, Saunders from the Romany Traveller community - to be an all-out war, Saunders and Lee actually have plenty of boxing pedigree.
The 31-year-old Lee, a cousin of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, boxed for Ireland at the 2004 Olympics and vowed to win the bout by boxing rather than brawling. Saunders boxed for Great Britain at the 2008 Olympics.
Saunders looked the sharper of the two in the opening two rounds, establishing his right jab and landing with a couple of flashing right hooks.
Saunders knocked Lee down twice in round threeAfter a cagey first six minutes, a fight broke out in the third, Lee landing with a straight left before Saunders dropped the Irishman with a sweetly timed right hook.
Lee was up at seven but down again shortly after, having chosen to engage rather than run or hold. However, the champion made it to the end of the round.
Having taken Lee to the brink, Saunders took his foot off the pedal in the fourth and fifth, allowing Lee, who landed with one punishing left, back into the fight.
However, as the fight reached the midway point the suspicion was that Lee was not making Saunders work hard enough, Saunders having tired down the stretch despite beating Chris Eubank Jr in 2014.
As the rounds ticked by, Lee's left hand was always cocked but rarely thrown and there were boos and jeers at the end of the ninth round. But credit for Lee's reluctance to engage should be given to Saunders, who displayed excellent movement and so was rarely in range.
Lee did land with a thunderous left towards the end of the 11th, but Saunders took it well. And an anticipated onslaught from the champion in the final round never materialised.
Saunders, a former British, European and Commonwealth champion, is unbeaten in 23 pro fights and could now face a rematch with Eubank Jr.
Eubank Jr lost a narrow decision against Saunders last November but looked much-improved in stopping Ireland's Gary O'Sullivan last week.
Smith became the first of Liverpool's four fighting Smith brothers to win a world title when he stopped American John Thompson in October.
And the 27-year-old had far too much class for his Manchester rival Kelly, breaking him down with his superior power and accuracy, his left hook particularly potent.
By the fourth round much of the snap had been punched out of Kelly and in the sixth the desperate challenger was deducted two points for a blatant headbutt.
And in the following round, referee Howard Foster stepped in after another Smith assault, as Kelly's trainer Ensley Bingham waved the white towel.
Kelly, 23, was taking part in only his 17th professional fight. Of his 16 previous opponents, only five had winning records.
Smith, who is now unbeaten in 23 pro fights, has options to unify the 154lb division. Cuba's Erislandy Lara is the WBA champion and American Jermall Charlo the IBF champion.
On the undercard, Cheshire's Paul Butler continued his quest for a second world title with a sixth-round stoppage of Romania's Silvio Olteanu.
Twenty seven-year-old Butler, a former bantamweight world champion, was beaten when challenging for Zolani Tete's IBF super-flyweight title in March.

Manny Pacquiao set to fight Timothy Bradley on return to ring
30th December 2015-Boxing Manny Pacquiao (right) has won 57 of his 65 career fights, losing six Manny Pacquiao is set to return to the ring with a fight against Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas on 9 April, according to promoter Bob Arum.
Pacquiao, 37, has not fought since he was convincingly beaten on points by Floyd Mayweather in May. Arum claims the Filipino's fight against WBO welterweight champion Bradley, 32, is a "done deal". The pair have fought twice before, with Bradley victorious in June 2012 and Pacquaio winning in April 2014. Arum claims he has agreed deals with both fighters, though the paperwork for the bout has yet to be finalised. Britain's Amir Khan had been hoping to fight six-weight world champion Pacquiao. "They didn't feel Khan would do anything," Arum told the Los Angeles Times. "He has a spotty record, hasn't done great ratings. Why would we feel he'd do well on pay-per-view?" www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/35203173www.manilatimes.net/pacquiao-vs-bradley-3-a-done-deal-arum/236959/www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-manny-pacquiao-timothy-bradley-20151230-story.html

04/01/2016 11:45, Report by Mark Froggatt ANTHONY CROLLA'S FIVE NEW YEAR AIMS World lightweight boxing champion and Manchester United nut Anthony Crolla talks us through the five things he’d like to happen in 2016, both for himself and the Reds…
1: DEFEND MY TITLE
“In my last two fights at the [Manchester] Arena, I could hear the Georgie Best song and ‘Oh, Anthony Crolla’ to the tune of the old Robin van Persie chant. I suppose Anthony Martial has nicked it off me now, but he’s not a bad person to share it with - it’s an unbelievable feeling! It looks like I’ll fight in the spring, in April or May, so I’ll soon be back in training and hopefully I can successfully defend my world title.” 2: CHEER UNITED IN EUROPE
“I love away days and I’ve already been to Brugge and Wolfsburg this season. It was mental in Wolfsburg; it was completely crazy going into a pub and hearing a load of Reds singing my name. It was a 'wow' moment and it meant a lot, meeting so many fans who told me they went to one of the fights. If I’m not in training then I’ll definitely look into going to Denmark in the Europa League.” 3: FINISH IN THE TOP THREE
“We need Champions League football and it’s important to improve on last season’s fourth. We might yet win the title because we are definitely challenging, even if we’re not playing our best football, but top three is the minimum that I want from United. Anything less isn’t good enough.” 4: GET TO WEMBLEY
“We haven’t had a good cup run in years, and I haven’t been to the new Wembley to see United. The last time I went was for the 1994 FA semi-final against Oldham, when Mark Hughes scored. I was seven and everyone was going mad! I’m well overdue a visit; hopefully I’ll see us lift a trophy there.” 5: SIGN TWO BIG NAMES
“Maybe we need a top-class centre-back to partner Smalling, and I’d like to sign a world-class striker. With those additions, we could achieve big things in 2016. I’m also looking forward to Luke Shaw coming back; he was brilliant at the start of the season and we’ve missed him since he broke his leg.” www.manutd.com/en/Fanzone/News-And-Blogs/2016/Jan/Manchester-United-fan-and-boxer-Anthony-Crolla-lists-his-five-New-Year-resolutions.aspx

Deontay Wilder rows with Tyson Fury after retaining world title
17th January 2016-Boxing Deontay Wilder (right) has stopped 35 of his 36 opponentsDeontay Wilder retained the WBC heavyweight title with a ninth-round knockout of Artur Szpilka in New York. The unbeaten American knocked Szpilka unconscious with a right hand, with the Pole taken to hospital as a precaution. Britain's Tyson Fury, who holds the WBA and WBO belts, traded insults with Wilder in the ring after the fight. On the same bill, Charles Martin won the vacant IBF title when Vyacheslav Glazkov was forced to retire in round three with a serious knee injury. Fury was stripped of the IBF belt when he agreed a rematch with former champion Wladimir Klitschko, whom he beat in November, rather than fight mandatory challenger Glazkov.
'You're just a phoney' Tyson Fury (right) beat Wladimir Klitschko on points in Germany to win three versions of the heavyweight title before being stripped of the IBF belt After the fight at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, Fury climbed into the ring, eyeballed Wilder and started singing "there's only one Tyson Fury" into a microphone, adding: "What have you got to say about that, Deontay?"
Wilder, who has stopped 35 of his 36 opponents, replied: "You're just a phoney. This is just an act. You know where I am. You know what time, what place. I ain't scared of nobody. I'll come to your backyard, baby."
Fury, who has won all of his 25 fights, made the same offer as the crowd booed, adding: "Any time, any place, anywhere. I'll beat you. You're a bum."
A laughing Wilder then said: "I don't play this. You should have been an actor. You can run around like you're a preacher all you want, but you step in the ring, I promise you, I will baptise you."
A unification fight between the pair could take place in Britain or the USA later this year.

Tyson Fury told to avoid controversial non-boxing comments
1 hour ago-Boxing British world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has been told by the sport's authorities not to make "controversial non-boxing comments".
He was warned over his conduct by the British Boxing Board of Control after a meeting on Tuesday. Fury, 27, apologised after making comments about women and gay people. Almost 140,000 people signed a petition calling for Fury to be removed from the BBC Sports Personality of the Year shortlist before December's event. The Manchester fighter, who outpointed Wladimir Klitschko to become heavyweight champion in November, caused controversy over derogatory remarks he made about women, and for criticising homosexuality and abortion. A BBC statement said Fury's comments had "caused offence" but that he had not broken the law by "exercising his right to freedom of expression" and it could not "interfere with his basic human rights". It added: "The stewards of the board have made it clear to him [Fury] that as world heavyweight champion, arguably the holder of the most prestigious title in sport, there are heavy responsibilities upon him to avoid making controversial, non-boxing comments. "He has assured the stewards that he understands the responsibilities upon him and has expressed regret that he has caused offence to others, which was never his intention." www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/35423828

No chance. He must be dreaming he will become another George Foreman and a few others who made a comeback at an older age, Sad really. However, Bruno later said that his agent had been told by the British Boxing Board of Control that it would not accept his application for a licence.www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/35461651
