Think I'm as happy as when Keano signed his new contract a few years' ago, after his protracted delay.

He is my life! #WithYouToTheEndOfTheWorld Hope you like the rain bitch It all hinges on her, honestly at least one more year and I kinda hope it breaks them. I understand being in his home city and with family is a big incentive, but I don't think they are actively persuading (*nagging) him to return unlike his missus who is obviously having her 5/10 year plan ruined. I just hope this is not a Ronaldo 2.0 situation, sign a new contract then leave, though slightly different/bitter circumstances surrounding this one. I hope David has the brains to realise RM's dodgy ways, although I did read today that apparently they convinced him it was not their fault & Mendes is still in contact with them about a future deal. We would get a good price now so that would soften the blow, he has done a honourable thing by signing a new contract to at least financially reward us, even if it was for selfish playing time reasons. Is there any buy out clause that anyone has heard of?

Articles said that the situation with a release clause is "unclear" Did say his salary is being raised by 140K to 200K per week

I'd be surprised if Real don't come back for him next summer, we'll see if he's here this time next year. They're going to have to be serious this time if they do. Most important thing at the moment is getting him back in the team ASAP.

VIDEO
11/09/2015 18:15, Report by Adam Marshall. Video by Matty Singh. DE GEA: I'M READY TO RETURN AGAINST LIVERPOOL David De Gea says he feels ready to return for Manchester United in Saturday's big game with Liverpool after signing his new contract at the club.
The Spain international thanked the supporters for their patience during a difficult summer as Real Madrid attempted to sign the Reds' no.1 and suggested United's fans are the best in the world. "I feel really well," he told MUTV in an exclusive interview. "I would like to say 'thank you' to the fans for their support. They are always behind the team, behind all the club, and that’s amazing. I think we have one of the best sets of fans in the world. "[There was] lots of speculation this summer but I kept doing my hard work. I'm relaxed and happy here and now have to look forward this season and we have to play well, win the games and hopefully we can win a trophy. "It was a different summer, it’s true. But I kept my focus, kept calm and kept doing my hard work. I want to say 'thank you' to my team-mates as well, they’re fantastic team-mates, and I’m really happy to be with them again." De Gea is feeling in the right condition to play, if selected by Louis van Gaal, even if the atmosphere for the match will be intense at the weekend. "I've trained really hard and I played with my national team, of course, so I feel ready and 100 per cent fit," he declared. "It's a perfect moment to come back at Old Trafford with the fans against Liverpool. It’s a special game for us, for the fans, for the world. It’s a big game and, of course, we need to win. We need three points for the fans. "It was a fantastic game with a fantastic atmosphere [in last year's fixture]. We won the game 3-0 at Old Trafford and it was a perfect day. Of course, it’s a new season with new players and we are going to try to win everything with the team. "We are Manchester United – one of the biggest clubs in the world. We are going to try to win everything. We know it’s difficult but we are Manchester United. We have to try to win every game and every trophy."
