Anyone here going?
With Giggs and Scholes playing the full 90 mins at home to the KKK, whats the odds of Clevers starting on Thursday?

Was all booked up to go but then got shafted by my professional qualifications. Have to go and sign in every day, like four times daily. Can't afford all the absences. I'm actually heartbroken about it.

I think it's a 6pm kick-off (GMT) on Thursday.
I normally arrive home from work at 5:40, so i'll have 20 minutes to get myself sorted before i watch it.

Sweet, 5 am Friday for us down here then....nice way to end the working week! There should be a few players returning from injury to boost our squad. Hope Nani is fit and agree, it would be great to see Clevers get a start.

Ferguson has said he's going to play the strongest side available so I can't see too many youngster starting. The operative word could be "available" but I think he's being honest with that one. I can see Cleverley getting some game-time but it won't be from the start, I doubt they want to rush him back that quickly, it's safer to ease him back into the starting line-up with a couple of 20 minute cameos. It would be nice to give players like Carrick, Evra and Valencia a rest though.
Really looking forward to this game, Ajax have some exciting players that I'm interested to see and they're a team I've always had a lot of admiration for. I think United will edge it but it'll definitely be a close one, 1-0 or 2-1 I reckon.

Looking forward to this. The Dam should be buzzing. And we have a week to prepare for the 2nd leg. Hopefully we can get a good solid result this week to allow maybe a few of the kids to be played in the 2nd.
EDIT: Sir Alex says Phil Jones "should be fit" and Chris Smalling will definitely be back. Nani has "a chance for Thursday" but obviously won't be rushed back from his ankle injury. Anderson "should be a couple of weeks away",

De Gea Smalling Jones Evans Fabio Valencia Cleverley Carrick Young Berba Hernandez
Not sure if Amos will come in but a few good games will boost De Gea's confidence if he does well. Nice long rest for Evra will do nicely and Fabio needs a game. Rather risk the dream team of Pogba and Cleverley but I doubt Pogba will start. Cleverley should start since he didn't come on on Saturday when Fergie said he would so I imagine he's ready. No point playing Rooney and Welbeck when we can rest them and still have quality up front. Give some of our lads a big rest for the run in.
2-0 United.

So yeah, I'm excited for this game. As big European game as you're likely to get in this competition, and Fergie's said he's taking it seriously.
I'd assume the players who were on the bench on Saturday will start and the back 5 from the last 2 games will continue to play together as that seems to have done wonders for De Gea's confidence, you could see he was a lot more confident on Saturday because he knows who he's playing with for the next few weeks.

Not basing this on evidence, as I don't watch Dutch football, but Ajax don't strike me as the kind of team to lump it up to a big striker or cause too much hassle from corners, so this should be the ideal game for De Gea. Until I just jinxed it that was.

Pogba is playing for the reserves tonight. Cleverley apparently isn't.

Will give Fergie a chance to see if Eriksen is worth a bid in the summer.

That's true about Eriksen.
Tatty, yeah Fergie is taking the Europa league genuinely seriously. It's a competition we've never previously won- or in the UEFA Cup format.
Considering the league is so tight with us and City we should be taking the Europa league seriously. Also, i'd always respect Ajax, on the way they like their team to play football. Lets hope we don't understimate anybody after Basel.
