Typical European away performance. Nothing to write home about. Glad we got the job done. Gives us the chance to field the likes of Pogba and Fryers in the second leg. Glad Chicharito and Young got on the scoresheet. Should do wonders for their confidence. Nani was frustrating but should get better with games. Good from De Gea. Needs to build on his recent commendable performances. Jones and Fabio looked good.

Fergie says Valencia could be out for a month. Oh good. I love injuries every week

of all players our most consistent player weve had over the past 2 months. Fuck Fuck Fuck. All these injured players weve got back and now this happens. Hope he recovers quickly because we need him back.

Another huge victory in our epic European history. Damn about Tony V. Hopefully it turns out that he comes back much sooner.

Be good to have AV back for the trip to the Lane, that's for sure.

Good result but that is a very very poor Ajax side. Young was very bad tonight even when he scored the goal i thought he had made a mess of it and Nani was not much better down the other side. I thought Nani was iffy tonight but Young was very bad? I'd disagree with that, for me Young was one of our best players. Great result and it has to be said that Ajax are a very ordinary side. De Gea pulled off another wonder save in that first half.

We're effectively through so it's going to be interesting to see what sort of a side Fergie decides to field next Thursday night at Old Trafford, considering we've no game at the weekend as it's the FA Cup.

Another damn injury. I know they're part and parcel of the game, but we've had more than our fair share this season.

City winning 2-1. Porto just fell apart in the second half. That Hulk is over rated. He's got a very impressive goal record sure, but I'm not impressed by his overall game. Not worth £88million by a long shot.

Professional job done. Two away goals. Players getting some much needed game time. Good nights work overall. Pity about Tony v? Never ending this injury curse.

Absolutely typical European away performance. Professional if not spectacular.
Fabio was really good at LB, which is a bonus as Evra seemingly can't defend anymore. Chicharito looked busy all night. He's a big threat in Europe as it's a different game.
I thought Young was poor as well actually except for the goal. He's just back so I'll forgive him that. I'm not his biggest admirer though. Biggest plus for me was Major Tom being back in action. Love the lad. Shame it was him Scholes replaced, but I wasn't expecting 90mins from him so soon after returning.

Am I the only one who was confused by seeing our left-back actually tackle? I love Patrice but I thought he'd outlawed tackling from left-back?
