Dare I say it - Klopp to take over when Fergie calls it a day. Bringing Goetze and Hummels with him. A million times yes. Exactly the sort we need. Faithful to local/youth, players love him, style of football that is breath-taking. Finally others are realising what I've been saying with regard to Klopp. The man is a genius. I bet the players would love playing under him. His reactions when the team scores alone are enough to get the crowd going behind the team. But I don't see it happening.

Ya, he has done brilliantly at dortmund and I remember him seeing him on touchline for mainz matches whenever bundesliga highlights were shown few yrs back. He used to show lot of passion. But I guess he wants to build a dynasty at dortmund and is happy there.

Some of us have been raving about Dortmund (and the Bundesliga in general) for years! I discounted Klopp as he is foreign, however it looks like Mourinho is the Annointed One, and I think I would prefer Kloppo as a foreigner than Jose. who is tht disproportionate presenter? Hayley McQueen. That's a bad photo of her, she's actually rather lovely.

Pessimist in me says they will have more impetus trying to win the EPL now.
Optimist in me says they will begin a long melt down.

I don't get this idea that if you are out of CL then you stand a better chance of winning the League or that you well perform better , in that case fuck getting into it in the first place. Lots to Taunt them now that they are out of CL @ Paul- Ty and here's another

It's simple - especially for a manager, you're more focused on one issue as you only have one.
As probability would have it, you will have a higher risk of losing players to injury with more games - especially games that you must win, so you can't rest key players.
You also get the potential problem if you get knocked out of the competition later on and it dampens your team's morale. Let's not just talk about losing the game(s), but what fans and media will think about team performances will have an effect on the team. A bad day out at the CL for us and Mancini can start mouthing all the mind games he wants with an advantage. We also aren't playing the best football, scraping past teams we should be easily winning, and are hugely open for criticism.
City on the other hand, if, they pick themselves up, they could probably run away with the league. The competition in the EPL is less than the CL. There is only one big competition they really want to win left, and no Europa Cup to dampen their spirits (losing plays a huge part and goes a long way), to remind the players that they're in a shit team.
Fergie obviously has a more difficult job than Mankini.
Being optimistic is one thing, but being realistic is another. Fortunately, I'm not a football manager and I don't have to care about the pros and cons. Obviously, I hope United's performances pick up substantially and that way, no one has to worry what the other team is doing.
Just sayin'.
But of course, in the most "innocent" way, I am glad that Shiteh are out of the CL and have no lame excuses to cover their performances with. I really do hope that their players get disillusioned and start some kind of mutiny.

Pessimist in me says they will have more impetus trying to win the EPL now. Optimist in me says they will begin a long melt down. In 2005-06 season, I remember people saying United finishing 4th can be a silver lining as they can now concentrate on league. It didn't help much. Our form was only marginally better and guess there was only 1 good run in march-april.
