I expect Ed to rush in with a 72mill opening bid on 1st January, even though he is a free agent. Final fee will probably end up nearer 100mill once he has finished negotiating with Nope's agent, who doesn't exist. We'll make it back in shirt sales, we're big in Indonesia. You have no idea how big Man Utd in Indonesia. But you can't make it back from shirt sales, full of knock off replicas here. Anyway, this is faster than i thought. We are now officialy entering winter 2016 transfer windows. Ed says we will only buy big names, so if its no Muller in January, its a failure. Muller, Reus, Goetze, Bale, Ronaldo and...... Gaitan.

I just had to peek in here and see if you guys were really, in fact, talking about transfers already. Holy fuck, talk about being a glutton for punishment. I'm avoiding this thread until Boxing Day. We will miss you in the thread buddy. You can atleast come up daily and say Hi Messi till Boxng Day If we are signing anyone in Jan, we are probably lying out of the CL positions come December.

Andreas Pereira?! Did he go to PSV? How did I miss this? Wiki says he's still here. Move along. Nothing to see here. I was gonna say, i know United are incompetent and have proven it this summer, but naming a player in the CL squad when we have loaned him out would take it to a whole new level RE: Will Keane - Well i was part right......good ol united.

Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed just how close Manchester United came to signing Thomas Muller.
United were reported to have made a series of bids for Muller this summer with the last thought to be an offer of more than £70m.
The 25-year-old, who worked with Louis van Gaal during his time in charge of Bayern, remained tight-lipped about United's interest throughout the transfer window.
But Rummenigge has lifted the lid on the negotiations between United and the German side.
And he revealed that if the decision had been purely about money, Muller would probably be at Old Trafford.
Rummenigge "I'm talking about figures which were very high indeed.
"If I were a bank manager then I would have had to accept it.
"But as a football club we allowed ourselves to close the door on it, and this door is remaining closed. I can promise that to everybody.
"But one thing is for certain, in view of the increased television money in England things are not going to get any easier for Bayern in future."
-------------------- Okay. So, Muller in the next window then. Glad to know that we had a realistic chance of signing him and Ed gave it a honest try. So, all of it was not bollocks.

Here's one for a January rumour...
Arsenal and Liverpool have received a major blow in their pursuit of Nabil Fekir as the Lyon attacker has revealed his dream is to join Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.
Fekir has emerged as one of the hottest talents in French football after enjoying a stunning season with Lyon last year that saw him score 15 goals and provide 13 assists in 39 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit.
His impressive form has led to interest from the Premier League with the Daily Star claiming that Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old.
The newspaper says that Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers have both been tracking Fekir’s progress in recent months and have shown a keen interest in luring him to England.
However, the pair have received a blow as the French international has now revealed that his dream is to join Manchester United and he hopes another good season in France will secure a move to Old Trafford.
Fekir is quoted as saying by the Daily Star:
“Why can’t I one day play for Manchester [United]? This is the club of my dreams,”
“I am not there yet. I must have a good season with Lyon and then we’ll see.”
This admission comes shortly after Fekir had confirmed last month that he wants to work hard to replicate his form of last season with the aim of securing a move abroad.
“This season I have to back up what I have done,” Fekir is quoted as saying by the Daily Star
“I have to do everything I can to continue progressing.
“There is also the Champions League. I want to give back to OL what the club has given me.
“To be frank, I would prefer an experience overseas after OL.”
The youngster is certainly a fine talent and it’s no surprise that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are understood to be sniffing around, but it appears the player has his eye on a move to Man Utd.
Fekir has been central to Lyon’s team over the past 12 months with Hurbert Fournier playing him in a central attacking midfield role behind Alexandre Lacazette, but they may have trouble hanging on to him for too much longer if he continues to impress.
It remains to be seen whether Louis van Gaal will show any interest in Fekir but I’m sure he may be tempted if the Frenchman puts in another impressive season at Lyon, and I think the youngster would prove to be an excellent addition.

Genuine effort, not just one for the papers.
