This is shocking. There should never be world cup in December again. This could absolutely be our undoing for the rest of the season.

This is shocking. There should never be world cup in December again. This could absolutely be our undoing for the rest of the season. 10 matches in 32 days is horrid. Luckily barring the Barca games we should able to tinker a bit without it doing too much. The silver lining being quite a few favourable games in that run.

That would be backup to Tom Heaton...? Because Dean Henderson can fuck right out the fucking door to whoever will have the yellow bellied snake. No. Henderson will be sold and then a new first-choice keeper will be bought. Okay. Who’s on your shortlist for first choice keeper that we should be prioritizing?

That we clearly sat in following the equaliser without the wherewithal to manage the game out (if this was ETH’s decision) is unforgivable ,and aptly demonstrated our complete lack of squad depth. We could do with a clone of Case, otherwise this will happen again against the top sides. God alone knows why McToilet was chosen over Fred ,and God alone knows #2 why AWB reverted to (awful) type, and that Shaw repeatingly backed off all game. I’m also not in the slightest bit convinced regarding the ‘look where we were when ETH took over’ argument/excuse either ,which loads of ITK’s seem to be tweeting this morning ,although I’m sure learn from this on move on. He’d better bloody had!

Scott McTominay made 21 out of 28 passes in 93 minutes. That's a terrifying drop off. He's 26. 27 at the end of the year and we still have no idea of what his abilities are. How is he still here? He should be at Nottingham Forest and even that's a push. Notts County would be more accurate. We need another midfielder in the summer who can push Casemiro. Without good competition, you could see a drop in Casemiro. Good job he's clearly a fantastic professional. Striker is the number one concern, but another midfielder really shouldn't be that far behind in the pecking order. Keane and Neville saying after the game that it's incredible we are still using the same players people knew weren't good enough last few seasons and the same ones making the same mistakes. McTominay can't read the game and position himself in that role and his passing is basic at best. AWB is thick, switches off on marking and still can't play out! He's a good athlete and a great tackler one on one, but that's it basically. That forward line apart from Rashford was absolute dross, because they haven't invested in a permanent top level striker in 5 years since they got the money for Lukaku. We need an additional 2 players in each area of attack, midfield and defence to really compete. It doesn't have to be 6 mega transfers. 2/3 will really cost. A striker a top ball playing midfielder who doesn't get gassed after 60 mins and a top RB. The others can be free transfers or just upcoming really good technical players. We should be able to offload 6 players to PL clubs or equivalent in Europe, if they are smart and move on for once instead of holding onto the mediocrity. Half the season to go and probably about 7-10 cup games still. We are a much better team than we have been for a long time, but there are still too many mediocre players at best and not enough options to call on in key areas!

Hopefully Amad is ready for first team next year as we have two right wingers who can’t run.
It’s insane we paid so much for them both.
Pellestri needs to play on Wednesday

I'm really curious to see how we do against Barca, but not sure I give a fuck about the Europa league if we are can win the Carabao and give the FA cup a good shot. We just don't have the squad to compete in all of this until the end of May. It could seriously backfire

We want to be competitive on as many fronts as possible in order to win silverware. Then we complain about playing too many games..

Not a single full weeks rest in 2 months! 17 games 3/4 days apart. Including the potential carabao cup final that's 18 games in 66 days. On top of that a busy world cup schedule for most of them on the back of 3 months of football aswell. It's ridiculous.

We want to be competitive on as many fronts as possible in order to win silverware. Then we complain about playing too many games.. It's not the amount of games, it's the frequency of them because of a bullshit world cup. Rearranged games in the middle of two of the biggest games of the season (convenient) then throwing in another one in 2 weeks. They're not robots and we could do without any injuries atm.

The world cup is an anomaly in a never ending debate season after season about player fatigue. The players don't really seem to care enough to withdraw from things like the nations league or meaningless friendlies.

I get that but the difference is this season the world cup took place during the football season so its cut short the time we could have been playing those fixtures. Should never have gone ahead anyway. But it's something we've just gotta get with and deal with best we can.
