Varane out for the season. Concussion complaints. fuck me... this is coming at perfect timing. Martinez just coming back and not needing to be rushed at starter to save him, Slabhead I believe is still carrying a knock from England that we need to be careful with, Lindelof is a walking injury. Whatever karma being we pissed off we need to make amends because jesus christ. I am happy he is protecting himself from permanent damage because concussions and the lasting effects are no joke.

Varane out for the season. Concussion complaints. Got a link? Everything seems to be about a L'Equipe interview he did last week that's just been published. Yeah all I've seen his he took himself out of a couple of games earlier on because of concussion.

Yeah the reports on it are worded poorly, it means he’s missed games previously due to concussion symptoms. Not that he’s ruled himself out for the season. Some interesting points raised about heading anyway.

Martinez and Lindelof out for a month according to Luckhurst. A good job we signed that badly needed centre half last summer then . 😇

Should replace the Jones in the thread title with Martinez. Might be my favorite player in the squad but he’s never fucking fit.

If Erik loses his job I hope he takes the medical team down with him. They are clearly doing something very wrong.

I have read reports of players not being happy with the overtraining(not sure how much truth there is in that but it would explain a few things).

Maybe if they played half decently with some passion and energy in games Erik wouldn’t feel the need to train them so hard…

I can believe overtraining might be a factor. As well as trying to implement a pressing style-Liverpool also have more than their fair share of injuries.
But when you get players with recurring injuries it does suggest that the medical team are prematurely releasing players from the treatment room or don't have the balls to stand up to the manager and tell him they aren't available for selection. Martinez didn't have injury issues under Erik at Ajax but ever since his injury 2nd half of last season he spends half his time in the treatment room.
Erik also commented he was given assurances by the medical team that Shaw and Malacia would both be available in January which is why we cut the Reguilon loan short. And that clearly wasn't the case.

Medical team has been dog shit for almost 10yrs. Jones and Smalling were mainstays there and they could never keep them healthy... Smalling left for Italy and was immediately healthy playing all the time without problems. That should have been a red flag right there but no this incompetent ownership just focused on money and let the clowns run the circus. Now we have a generational talent of a CB in Licha that can't stay healthy because our medical team cleared him to jump right back in only to get re injured. They cleared Casemiro to come back and he wasn't ready thank god he spoke up for himself, told ETH that Shaw was ready, he lasted 2 matches, said Malacia would be ready and he out for the rest of the season... maybe when they said he'd be ready to go by end of January they meant Jan 2025.

Video of Malacia in the gym training surfacing, good to see he is actually alive and getting healthy.
