Great film but still prefer the original with Mitchum and Peck Just that I like Di Niro films. Seen the original many times many moons ago which was good. Watched Deer Hunter again the other night. Classic.

So many films that Di Niro acts in that are classics like Raging Bull. They reckon that was one of his greatest films.

Not many people could have matched the brooding menage of Mitchum in the original - luckily De Niro could I assume you've seen Mitchum in Night of the Hunter?More than likely because that's an old 1955 film. But TBH I don't like Robert Mitchum films. He acted ok in the war movie The Longest Day but he is not my cup of tea as an actor. I am a funny old coot when it comes to actors. Give me Clint Eastwood and Di Niro anyday.

Watching The Bone Collector with Denzel Washington (1999). From a book by Jeffery Deaver which I have read and a lot more of his novels. Any good book tends to be (to me) better than the film but Denzel acting as quadriplegic detective Lincoln Rhyme and co star Angelina Jolie acting as police officer Amelia Donaghy act the parts brilliantly. Seen the film a few times before but I am taping this on my box and save it with a lot more films I have and like.

Yup - good film Not read any Deaver but did grab the bibliography a couple of years ago to stick on my mum's iPad Should read one or two 3 films today All Quiet On The Western Front (1930) - great Valley of the Dragons (1961)- shite Lisa and the Devil (1974) - Elke Sommer get her tiddies out

Just watched a film called The Losers. Classed as an action comedy and I quiet enjoyed it. Reading up on it in Google and it said 'The film received mixed reviews from critics and drew comparisons to The A-Team, a remake of which was released shortly after The Losers premiered'. Maybe thats why I enjoyed it as I liked watching the A-Team series, never seen the movie though.

Birth of the Beatles (1979). Seen it a few times but I like listening to some of the songs of the Beatles they play. Pete Best has just got sacked, in comes good old Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey).
