Ok there were a few things in this film I didn't really understand, so I'd be grateful if someone answered my questions lol. If you haven't seen it yet don't read this questions lol.Ok, why was he trying to shoot/kill deer throughout the film? And why did some people turn into those weird things, and others didn't? And why were those plastic humans all around the place? Cheers ;D Tomo i'm no expert but here's my take on the questions you asked. I'm assuming the deer were either being hunted for food, or just to alieviate the boredom. Some people were immune to the virus, as Robert Neville was. The mannequins were there because Neville had put them all there to immitate reality, hence they were all named by him and he conducted conversations with them all. I must admit i enjoyed the film. Not least because i managed to convince my other half to go. She was unaware of the more horrific elements to the film and it was quite entertaining hearing her reaction to the discovery of the hive inside that building lol. Oh man I hated that scene with the hive. Those scenes freak me out but still a great scene

Who doesn’t like Will Smith? He’s a likeable actor. He hasn’t always been cast in the best of films (Captain James West in Wild Wild West). But he has in others (Chris Gardner in The Pursuit of Happyness). He’s certainly talented. And I Am Legend is no exception. He holds the screen together for an hour. He keeps the audience interested. Some would say he makes I Am Legend tolerable, but everybody’s a critic right? The whole, run down, eerie, weed infested Manhattan was great, although it started to get a little overused. And I believe the 6 night shoot in New York/Brooklyn Bridge took the approval of 14 government agencies to get such permission. Oh the things film makers do eh. I thought the sense of being the only person alive in the world, or so he thought, was captured superbly. The special effects weren’t all that, especially when the ‘zombies’ were concerned. You’d expect a hell of a lot more for a film in this day and age. There was also no need for Anna’s arrival. Her attempt at a happy ending somewhat tripped the film up.
Definitely worth a watch but what could have been; wasn’t. Lawrence could have certainly taken this film to a higher level. It builds nicely, but delivers an unsatisfying conclusion.

I think thats right. The film was good, tense, jumpy then the monsters come out and it looks like i'm watching roger rabbit, it looks so fucking animated. Then just as it gets going it's over. Did they run out of ideas? I heard the book's ending is much better.

I really am looking forward to reading the book, just havn't gotten around to it yet.

I was disappointed by the movie. True, Will Smith was great, as he always is, but I expected more from the film. I think they overempasized the "horror" element, plus the ending is downright stupid. I mean, come on, it's not even a real ending! We have no clue what she'll do with the vaccine and we never find out why Robert is "a legend". I think they ran out of ideas.

Finally watched it and I enjoyed it although as has been said it could've finished a bit better.
