Yeah same here, I always folded under pressure, I entered a few contests locally and I did horrible in all of them. It was the same with footy for a while too but I'm over all that now. I don't let anyone get to me when I play. I just play.

I won our local jam at the park near me, it wasn't that hard, but i didn't stay for the prize draw, missed out on deck, shoes and wheels lol damit.... There was no way out of my breakages lol, i used to go out on a blank deck the day i got it, and come back with it snapped, with a pro deck, similar, but took me a week haha, it was like £60 a week maybe? lotta dosh to keep forking out for a plank of wood with wheels on haha. It's just if it wasn't for the prices i'd still be enjoying my skating at this very moment, i'd probably still be out now and its about 1am haha. I'd recommend skateboarding to anyone who's trying to do something new, but beware of the bumps and scrapes i suppose haha.

Yeah, no matter how good you are at skateboarding, you're going to get some pretty bad bumps and bruises. A couple sprained ankles, maybe a broken arm here or there haha. It's still an awesome sport though I still love it.
