You love it. stay on topic bad boy!!! Make me. Former McLaren star Juan Pablo Montoya has said he feels sympathy for world champion Fernando Alonso's situation at the team this season. Montoya believes Dennis is favouring Lewis Hamilton over Alonso and said he was shocked when he and his wife heard they were going to be team-mates. "We immediately felt sorry for Fernando because Lewis is Ron's baby," he said. "Ron paid for his whole career, so Ron wants him to win and not Fernando. Lewis is like his own child." Montoya added: "Fernando is nothing to him. I think Fernando is angry. He thought he was going to come in and be number one, and he's not." Montoya spent six seasons in Formula One, including a season and a half at McLaren in 2005/06, before splitting acrimoniously from the team and moving to the US Nascar series. Alonso and Hamilton are in their first season together at McLaren. Montoya said: "Fernando is a nice guy, but he was the number one at Renault and he was used to winning and getting everything. "Ron, outside the work environment, is a great guy but he's two different guys. "The guy who I signed with and played golf with, he just didn't exist in the office. He was just a different person, you wouldn't even recognise him. "He wants to control everything, and Fernando is not used to someone controlling everything and did not like that." Montoya said he was not surprised how the spy scandal that has rocked the sport developed over the season. McLaren were fined £49.2 million and expelled from the constructors championship after being found in possession of a 780-page dossier packed with Ferrari's technical secrets. Montoya said: "It's just how Formula One is. Teams are allowed to bend the rules too much. "I always felt like people bent the rules and that some teams were allowed to bend the rules more than others. But this? This is crossing the line." It was later revealed through e-mail and text message exchanges that Alonso and test driver Pedro de la Rosa had intimate knowledge of the Ferrari set-ups. Dennis said the scandal had developed when Alonso threatened to divulge compromising information to FIA after a team dispute at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton is hoping to clear the air with Fernando Alonso and discuss team-mate etiquette ahead of Sunday's Japanese GP.
Hamilton was furious with his McLaren team-mate following the last race in Spa, where he claims Alonso tried to take him off on the opening lap of the grand prix.
"It was blatant. He pushed me wide quite deliberately. I out-braked him through Turn One. There was enough room for us both to get round but suddenly I didn't have any room," Hamilton said after the race.
"I tried to get around the outside but he pushed me wide. It was not a fair race manoeuvre."
And although the McLaren rookie has calmed down in the past few days, he still wants to talk to Alonso about the move in order to ensure it doesn't happen again.
"For both of us, we have got to be careful and remember that we are team-mates," the Brit said.
"I probably will speak to him later in the weekend about this, because I haven't spoken to him since the last race and I have my feelings on what happened at the last race.
"Here is another race, another day, but when we are out there we won't be giving any handouts, that is for sure."
The Championship leader also warned Alonso that if he wants to play aggressively, he can expect the same back.
"I am driving to keep the car on the track and be fair to everyone, but if that is how aggressive he wants to be then I can be just as aggressive as anyone else," he said.
"But I am not going to take any silly risks and take myself or anyone else off - just make sure I am ahead of them and it won't be an issue."
Hamilton heads into Sunday's race with a two-point lead over Alonso in the race for this year's World title and the knowledge that his rival may have the advantage in the final two races of the season.
t's therefore vital for the rookie to do well at Fuji, a track neither of the McLaren drivers know, although he does believe he can still beat Alonso in China and Brazil.
"He knows Shanghai very well, and he knows Brazil very well, but that has never stopped me from beating him in other places so I am not worried," said Hamilton.
"It is difficult to say what is going to happen at this race or the next race. Either of us could have a bad race and that could really spice things up.
"The key for me is just to make sure that I finish in the top three, get as many points as possible, and preferably win."
And what's a title race without a few mind games with Hamilton warning Alonso that he's the one under pressure as he's the double World Champion and Hamilton's just the rookie.
"I feel I have nothing to lose. He is the one defending the World Championship, so really he should have more pressure on him. But in the last two races he has done really well," he added.
"I don't know if he has unloaded a load of baggage and is not feeling any weight off the team, or anything. He seems to be quite happy in the team all of a sudden, or with himself at least."

Lewis Hamilton believes McLaren support him more than team-mate Fernando Alonso and says he has been forced to revise his opinion of the world champion. The Englishman's remarks come in the light of Alonso's cool relationship with the team and breakdown in relations with boss Ron Dennis.
"Since what's gone on, they've realised who the real people are in the team and who they should really back," he said.
"[Alonso] is not the person I imagined him to be, but that's the way it is."
Hamilton says the team have gone out of their way to keep Alonso happy, only for the Spaniard to throw it back in their face.
"They have bent over backwards to make him feel comfortable - me and Pedro (de la Rosa) have done the same," said Hamilton.
"We have been told to try and make him feel welcome in the team and you saw what he did to the team."
Hamilton's comments follow the row between Alonso and Dennis at the Hungarian Grand Prix in August over his status in the team.
Alonso threatened during the row to reveal incriminating e-mail evidence about McLaren's involvement in the spy row that has dominated the sport this summer to the sport's governing body, the FIA.
He quickly apologised and withdrew the threat, but not before Dennis had telephoned FIA president Max Mosley to tell him of the conversation.
It ultimately led to McLaren being thrown out of this year's constructors' championship and fined £49.2m for having confidential Ferrari technical information in their possession.
Hamilton, who was marginally faster than Alonso in second practice at the Japanese Grand Prix on Friday, attended the FIA hearing in Paris earlier this month, but Alonso chose not to.
The relationship between the drivers has also cooled since Hungary, when Hamilton first double-crossed Alonso in qualifying and then Alonso returned the favour.
Hamilton was also angered when Alonso forced him wide at the first corner of the Belgian Grand Prix two weeks ago.
Alonso, 26, has cut Hamilton's once 14-point lead to just two points with three races to go, including in Japan this weekend.
Hamilton said: "When you are in a relationship with a certain amount of people, you do the best job you can and want to show to everyone that you are the one for the team.
"In this situation, I was a rookie and he was the two-time world champion coming into the team.
"He is the one that was looked at to bring it home, but eventually I have earned more respect from them."
Alonso, who has avoided commenting on his relationship with the team or Hamilton in public, is understood to believe that as a double world champion he is entitled to elevated status.
Hamilton said: "I want to win it [the title] fair and square. Not once have I approached the team members and asked to be favoured.
"It is just not something I have done at any team, asking for better equipment.
"I want to win it the right way. The best feeling ever is when you know you have won and you have beaten someone as talented as he is with the exact same equipment and exactly the same opportunity."
Hamilton said he had been surprised by Alonso's behaviour.
"You try to understand these people," he said, "but then the whole idea of what sort of person they are is completely miles out of the ball park."
Lewis Hamilton beat McLaren team-mate and title rival Fernando Alonso to fastest time in second practice at the Japanese Grand Prix on Friday. The Englishman, who has claimed his team would prefer him to win the title, beat Alonso by 0.214 seconds with a lap of one minute 18.734 at Fuji.
Ferrari lagged behind in the afternoon, but were comfortably quicker than McLaren in the morning.
Kimi Raikkonen was 0.548secs quicker than Alonso in the first session.
They were split by Raikkonen's team-mate Felipe Massa, who was 0.4secs adrift of the Finn, with Hamilton fourth.
With three races to go, Hamilton has a two-point lead over Alonso and 13 over Raikkonen.
The Japanese race is being held at the Fuji Speedway, in the shadow of Mount Fuji, for the first time in 30 years.
The track has received mixed reviews, and the drivers are unanimous that it is no match for Suzuka, which hosted the race for 20 years until last year.
Suzuka will return for 2009, with the tracks sharing the race on alternate years from then onwards.
Hamilton declared himself pleased with his day's work.
"It's obviously always a challenge to get to know a new track, but I have tried that three times this year already," he said.
"The engineers and I walked the circuit yesterday, and I was really looking forward to getting in the car this morning.
"I stayed on the same set of tyres in the first session just to get a feel for the layout.
"The grip levels increased throughout, but the challenge is when you don't have a real idea of when the levels will stabilise.
"I experienced no problems and we found a good basis and made continuous progress.
"In the second session we focused on some longer runs and everything seems to be going in the right direction."
Alonso echoed his thoughts.
"So far so good and we experienced no problems," he said. "I'm looking forward to a competitive weekend."
Raikkonen said he expected Ferrari to be strong again this weekend following their one-two in Belgium two weeks ago.
"It is quite difficult to find the best set-up on this track, especially for the final sector," he said.
"This is a demanding track but at the same time it's enjoyable to drive.
"The car was well-balanced. In the second session we tried a change to the set-up, which did not produce the expected results and so we went back to the previous one. We have to study the data to find the best settings.
"Obviously, it is very early to say where we are compared to our main rivals. But in any case, I think it will be a very close fight."

does anyone else reckon it'd be great to have jenson button at mclaren next year? all british set-up an all. screw alonso, he can back to renault. I know this is very unlikely but jenson has been out driving his car lately and it would be great to see two british drivers competing for a world title.

Oh yeah no doubting it'd be great but I think it is unlikely to happen. I agree Button should be in a better car than the one he is being given at the moment. I think McClaren might see it as a bit of a gamble, plus if they had two British drivers it wouldn't be as commercialy beneficial to them over seas. I always liked Button i think he always get the wrong car...i mean with a better car maybe who knows...Well alonso can only get back to McLaren cos i dnt believe Ferrari will ever sign him. Yeah i don't think Ferrari will sign him, I can't see either of the current Ferrari drivers leaving so if Alonso were to leave McClaren i don't know where he would go.
