I know there ain’t a lot of love felt for Lewis Hamilton on here, but for him to have received a load of online racist abuse after yesterday’s race at Silverstone was disgusting. The racist abuse was disgusting, no question. The PIT manoeuvre Hamilton used to take out his Championship rival was also disgusting. Hamilton is fortunate racist assholes have provided the perfect distraction.

He didn't stick the wheel up his inside as suggested by Horner, Hamilton was half a car length up the inside going into that corner. Max moved over to take the racing line without checking what's on his inside despite scrapping with Hamilton for the first part of the lap. Horner is suggesting that corner is off limits for overtaking which is BS, no corner is off limits.

He absolutely did jam his wheel up the inside, and the driver cam from Verstappen's car shows him adjusting away from Hamilton. The suggestion I am seeing from people trying to excuse Hamilton is basically 'Max should have got out of his way'. Just no. Verstappen was always ahead going into the corner and had every right to take the racing line. Copse is not a corner to be trying to overtake on the inside from behind, which is what Horner was rightfully pointing out. Ten seconds penalty was a complete joke.

Hamilton did miss the apex and drifted wider as a result, although I think Max thought the Lewis would drop back ,as he’s always done previously in other races, without actually checking that he had, and started to turn in per the video from his cockpit. Also I’ve not heard a driver, past, or present, come out directly for Max, with most labelling it (perhaps conveniently) as a ‘racing incident’ ,whether that’s biased or not, I’ll leave for others to decide, although when you compare that with Senna/Prost in Japan in ‘89 or Schumacher/Hill in Australia in ‘04 ,when he rammed Damon and won the title with a DNF, there’s none. I’m still bloody seething about that!

The more I watch it the more I see your point as regards to missing the apex. There's no doubt he missed it and under steered in that corner.

I've grown to dislike Hamilton more and more this year. He is a sore loser and rarely takes responsibility for what he does.... he played it off when he did it to Albon both time and played off his part in the battle with Nico. I've watch multiple interviews after this weekends race and you can see it in his eye and body language he knew what he did and that it could have seriously injured Max. He blamed it on racing and pointed out Max's aggressive driving style... no you don't like that fact that your aren't running away with every race this season.
other note:
Excited to see Mclaren build on Danny Ric's new found consistency in his car. I've been a Ric fan since he was at RB, the atmosphere in the paddock, on the track, and in interviews are always better when is competing for points. Also, I'd love the Bottas give the Mercs the hard bird after his continuous "for the team orders" he's been given this year. Hard to hate that guy.

Never been a particularly good loser (in a bad way) nor a very good winner either. Always has plenty of perfunctory sound bites about the team and 'the fans' but it seems insincere and really he's just brilliant. Riccardo is a great character and top driver. Would love to see him in a McLaren car that could genuinely compete. Ditto on Bottas, he's a proper old-school grizzler.

Everyone else sees him as a prick that pouts when he isn't blowing the competition out by 40secs.... this is the first time since Nico that he actually has to out race a proper driver and it's shattering his ego. I won't be surprised to see him result to more dirty tactics this year or as he is calling it "racing". It will be interesting how much distance off the track he gives Max because as Ocon saw, he is no stranger to confrontation. My heart just goes out to Bottas. I don't know how he does it honestly... there was a video this morning I saw where they asked him to pull alongside Lewis to check for damage.

McLaren vs Mercedes ,should be interesting.
Going to be a long day for Lewis ,he needs a brilliant start. Daniel Ric is shite but Lando will be his biggest problem.

How did you come to the conclusion that Ricciardo is shite? This has nothing to do with his win yesterday. Was in a sub par car with Renault still managed 2 podiums in his second year, moved to a Car at Mclaren that is known to be hard to learn (see Carlos Sainz comments) and doesn't completely fit his style of driving. He is a late breaker(considered one of the latest of brakers)which this car isn't known for. Lando is just getting good at this car after almost 4 years, so your shite comment doesn't really add up.

Utterly typical that Hamilton got a ten second penalty for PIT manoeuvring Verstappen at Silverstone then Verstappen somehow gets a grid penalty for the same sort of incident.
Farcical really.

After the incident a Monza, I thought firstly these two aren't backing down and this wreck further cemented it. I figured one of two things will happen from the FIA, 1. call it a racing incident and warn them behind closed doors to knock the shit off or 2. both get penalized. FIA is wildly inconsistent in their handling of both matters, both could have gotten someone killed. They slapped Lewis on the wrist and he still went on to win Silverstone after putting Max into the wall at 160mph+ breaking 51g's in the process. Neither back out of the first or second turn at Monza and Max's whole ass car lands on Lewis's head.... Max gets a 3 grid penalty plus points off his license. It's just laughable at this point... 10years earlier both incidents would have killed each driver, no question in my mind.

One of the best seasons of F1 since the Schumacher era.
Barring something spectacular and unforeseen in Jeddah, this is going down to the last race of the season.
