De La Hoya was outboxed. Mayweather was so good defensively and come out of the corners great too when it seemed he would be trapped and eventually caught by one of the famous Golden Boy lefts.

Not a chance. Maywaether was shit. All he could do was jab and be deffensive. All of his punches were glove shots. De la hoya won the fight imo. How can anyone like that arrogant prick of a fighter, he's more boring than Chelsea and almost as mouthy as Mourinho?

I know for some it's just about results but being a true champion is about more than just the win/loss count. From what I saw of Mayweather he went out of his way to be as obnoxious as possible. There's nothing that I find more annoying than flashy, disrespectful, and over confident athletes you see in American sports (i.e. NBA and boxing). |

I don't think he truly went out and beat De la hoya. I think with such a close fight like that the belt should stay with the champion. As a challanger you should be the one to be going forward looking to take the belt from him. De la hoya was the aggressor and he he got caught because of it. The point he made well was that without him going forward there would have been no fight.
