And he takes the first set! Fair play! Already his biggest payday by just getting through the qualifiers, picks up £35k even if he loses today. Guaranteed £57k if he gets to the next round. I like Edmund, think he's a talent and he's already got some decent scalps to his name but he's got to start kicking on now. Neither of them has any interest in playing tennis, they just want to fuck on and get paid, unfortunately they have the basic talent to get reasonably far in tournaments and keep their ranking and prize money up.

What the likes of Rafter and Laver must think of them? Hewitt could be a tit, but at least he had utter determination to win and never give up. Imagine being him and looking at these two tools.
We hate Rooney for not looking after himself, but at least he had the decency to have several years of brilliance and won everything before going to shit; these two have just started their careers like that and show no signs of changing.
One thing I can say though, is that the general attitude in Australia for them is that they are a pair of arseholes, they really aren't liked, at all. |

Konta on at the minute, in a real battle in the first set. Heather Watson played really well by all accounts this morning, knocked out the 18th seed or something like that. Plenty of talent there if she can stay injury free, same as Robson really.

Really easy work for Murray. Brown is entertaining but not enough consistency in his game to trouble someone like Murray. Tougher tests await!
