Manchester United have urged fans not to buy any Champions League final tickets from unofficial sources after confirming 216 tickets have gone missing.

The tickets were part of a batch that were sent out by recorded delivery on Thursday night.

While United did everything required of them, they have now been informed the tickets did not reach their destination and are now presumably heading onto the black market.

However, as the chip contained within the tickets has now been cancelled, they will not allow admittance to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome next Wednesday to see United tackle Barcelona.

United officials are now in discussion with UEFA to see what can be done on behalf of the unlucky supporters whose tickets have gone missing.

I would love to get tickets to the season opening (B'Ham home), Burnely away, Liverpool away, Boxing day (Hull away) and 28th of december (Wigan home).

If anyone has any advice how to get tickets, please let me know. Living in Norway, and I have to pay more than £100 for most matches when i search on the internet. I know that One United offers tickets, but I want more than just one ticket and i want tickets for some away matches away.

hi, i'm a season ticket holder in the stretford end, in the past only managed to get tickets for the euro aways (despite many failed attempts for domestic ones), not a member of a supporters club, does anyone know hpw i can maximise my chances of getting league away tickets, and burnley away would be nice, but obviously thats going to be extremely popular, any help would be welcome, thanks,

redrightthrough - i think your best bet is to opt IN to the cup scheme, then you'll always be preference for domestic away games, other than that, just keep your fingers crossed!
