Ok, firstly let me say that this is an observation from me and i'm genuinely not being critical of anybody here...i didn't want to mention this but i've got to get this one of my chest... ....it would be nice if, before we post a thread, we actually look at what section we're posting the thread in. For example, recently i've wanted to have a look in the General United section for stories about the Red Devils and i discover a debate going on about a Chelsea player? Even this evening i've decided to have a look at the United Transfer thread for stories or rumours about possible United targets and i find out Boswinga is on his way to Chelsea? Let me say, i realise that people can make a genuine mistake, but surely it's easy to check where the thread is being posted. It looks daft and in some cases it's smacks of somebody being lazy, just posting anything anywhere.

I don't think it really matters that much.

I don't think it really matters that much. Gapi, i'll log on tomorrow evening and i'll be looking for United stories and i'll probably end up reading about Rafa Benitez or somebody else? It's daft in extreme. I'll probably log on later in the week and i'll find out that Michael Owen may be on his way to United...but it won't be placed in the United transfer section, General Football maybe? Pointless. I realise that the Admin and Mod's on here can move these threads, but it would be nice to see them in the relevant section.

Chill out guys. RDR's concerns are genuine. It is something that the Mods and other members of the forum have been trying to tackle for a while and the Mods are very efficient in moving threads to their relevant section. However, the appearance of threads in the wrong sections does cause them extra work, and I do not think it will harm anyone if we, as members, make the extra effort of assuring the correct section for the thread.
If you are unsure, then just ask one of the Mods who are online at the moment, or any of the members who might be online at that time to advise you if your section of choice is correct.
It is not a big deal btw, RDR, as even our Mods are known to make similar mistakes on occasion.

It is happen sometimes we might post topic in the wrong section but coming out like that and complain about the Mod's or Aministrator's job is none sense to me. they are not always online and they have to deal with more than 2000 people

Of course, Red Yank, it just smacks of some posters being lazy to me. There's another example of it this morning. There's a United Transfer story regarding Ashton, that's been placed in General Football...that section says 'anything which doesn't concern United can go in here.' It can be annoying because the person posting it, obviously hasn't bother to read which section to put it in.

Sure if u post in the wrong place is additional work for the mods but some people may only make a mistake or simply didn't noticed they posted in the wrong section. Now start to argue for this sound a bit silly to me Im sure the ones who posted wrongly at times didn't do it cos they were too lazy to post in the wrong thread and the ones who did will probably get a PM from the mods

Perhaps the user is lazy or just made a mistake but either Sil, Adam, Scott or I will get to it if when we see it. I get your point but it's just a part of how forums work and this is just one of those minor issues that get sorted quickly enough. If the person is a repeat offender then we'll reach out to them privately.

I don't know, maybe we should start making examples of these people. You could start with a gentle warning then maybe move on to printing a photo of the offending poster, or at least a hastily assembled photoshop creation of what you think somebody that posts in the wrong place looks like. Oh by the way shouldn't this thread now be moved to the general section

Well the only one logical solution to this dilemma would be making me Moderator!
