Looks like a doubt now:
Silva has admitted that he has 'no desire' to move to England and would prefer to join Barcelona, if he were to leave Valencia.
And, despite acknowledging United's offer, the player's agent Julio Llorente has confirmed the 22-year-old wants to stay in Spain.
"Manchester United made an offer for David Silva, but this has been turned down by Valencia," Llorente told Sky Sports News in a statement.
"Silva doesn't want to play in England because he is happy at Valencia.
"His family are settled and if he was to move it would only be to another Spanish club, like Real Madrid or Barcelona.
"David Silva will start the new season at Valencia."

Maybe because he said his family is settled in Spain, he would prefer to stay in his own country etc...
Don't think we need him anyway.

Maybe but he doesn't need to drag his family over with him..we only wanted a winger not the Spanish Armada..Utd will do it again..Nani and Anderson this season will be settled from the off..Hargreaves always was settled..Rooney needs more goals to keep a first team place..Tevez is doing great atm no possible improvement.

We probably never really bid for him, it's probably just the agent's hype to get a higher market value.
Also Spanish wingers tend to be overrated.

David Silva has agreed an improved five-year contract with Valencia, quashing speculation the striker will move to the Premier League. The Spanish club rejected a bid from Manchester United on Tuesday for Silva, according to his agent, while Tottenham and Liverpool had also been linked. Valencia have subsequently agreed new terms on the 22-year-old's contract. "It's very satisfying to see the player's willingness to stay," said Valencia vice president Fernando Gomez. He added: "The club will not do anything crazy or break our financial and sporting guidelines so we have gone as far as we have been able to."
Linked wih United on Tuesday, improved contract with his club on Thursday. Loks like his agent just earned his 10%.
