dissappointed in the teams attitude tonight, speaking of evra, I thought he was poor first half, anuchov and danni kept getting in behind him, rio for that second goal was shocking he let the guy walk past him. Tevez was the best player on the park, the only really creative spark we had in the match. We need gt our heads out of our ass and get this team ready for the dippers.

Strange one ,we need a striker but what are Rooney and Tevez actually paid to do? Tevez looks the better partner to Berbatov to me.Rooney needs time on the bench,Zenit were good like the way they play totally deserved there win..

Only saw parts of the game and we were really poor... I hope it was just a lack of motivation.
Still the Russian league is at about two thirds so it is natural that they were sharper.
Tevez, what a great player.
Oh and Scott, Chat is still up

Great game from Zenit, they deserved to win. They dominated large parts of the game and made our defense look shite at times. The only good thing yesterday was Tevez, who was imense but didn't have any support from others....Nani and Rooney disappointed me the most, they showed fuck all last nite!! Our attack doesn't pose much threat, mainly because Rooney and Tevez go back to much and we have noone up front....thats where a new STRIKER comes in!!!!!! and as much as i hate to admit it we NEED Ronaldo!!!!

Really bad game. It was so bad I started playing Tetris at one point!! Tevez was great as usual but most of the others were well below par I just laughed so hard when I saw SAF's face after hearing scholes was now suspended!! ;D With Saha now gone I think we need 2 strikers now let alone one person! We needed a striker when Saha was still here.

ye without ronnie we're simply not the same team. but a berba could've made a huge difference in that game, so here's hopin we sign him in time!

Until O'Shea and Park came on we looked lackluster and just didnt want it! The whole team bar Tevez and Vidic were god awful, Nani and Rooney the stand outs IMO!

Zenit totally deserved to win last night. They will surprise a lot of teams in the Champions League. I wanted them in our group because I don't want to to face them in the knock-out stage.
It would have been nice had we won, but really this game is just the European version of our Charity (sorry, Community) Shield at the end of the day. If we had won, wonderful, another trophy. But, we lost, not a major important game. Let's move on and make sure we win the more important games.
But last night proved something to me. I've really liked Tevez for a while but after his performance last night he is the main man in our team now. I agree with Matkaman. If we do sign Berbatov or another top goalscorer, I think Tevez has to be his regular partner up front. Didn't think I'd ever say that Rooney is not good enough to be a regular starter, but if we continue with 4-4-2, I want to see Tevez in that team ahead of Rooney.

What a load of rubbish that was. I thought we would have tried to right the mistakes made in the last ESC against Lazio, and while we did play a strong side it didn't look like that was the case on the pitch. Zenit played some good football and we didn't, simple as that. I'm really disappointed because I was really hoping we'd win this one and add the cherry on top to our European campaign, not to mention strike a bit of fear in the other CL teams.

Oh no, we lost European equivalent of the Charity Shiled. I'm ever so disappointed.
When we put on the style in the last 15-20 minutes Zenit couldn't cope with us. We look alright for the European campaign ahead IMO.

Zenit could not live with our 1st 11 midseason... FACT!!
We were well beaten last night but we were missing important players and we are still a little rusty while they are something like 18 games into their season so are much sharper.

Only Paul Scholes could have scored with his hand from there. Fantastic finish.

i agree about rooney and nani, at the minute they just arent good enough to be startin for the european champions. i think rooney needs put on the bench to put some hunger back into his game cos from what ive seen this season i dont see where he fits in the united team.
as for nani i dont really rate him, people are sayin o he's young and its his first season but i think ronaldo's first season here was alot better, but lets hope his game improves and he becomes a star for us
as for tevez he has been absolutly outstanding this season and he should be first choice striker to partner the 'new arrival'. if he keeps up his fight and dtermination for the team he will be our best player this season.

Oh no, we lost European equivalent of the Charity Shiled. I'm ever so disappointed. I am not bothered with the fact that we lost the Supercup, but the thing i am disappointed about is our poor and lacklustre performance (bar Tevez)!!
