Yankee fan here. I used to go to the games a lot when I was a teenager as I was walking distance from the stadium. We were rubbish back then but we had a great time in the Bleachers.

I've been to a few games at the old yankee stadium, i sat in the bleachers everytime i went, not a yankees fan but you guys had a great stadium. I heard the new Yankee stadium is going to be very nice but really expensive.

I heard the new Yankee stadium is going to be very nice but really expensive. They're building it to resemble the old Yankee Stadium (1920s) which should prove to be nice as that one had a classic facade, but with all of the restaurants and tourist friendly shops they're going to build it will be more of a complex than a true stadium but so it goes nowadays. At least they're keeping the name, because nothing would be worse than calling it Citibank Stadium or something ridiculous like that.

Been to over 20 games (2 this season) vs the Mets
Sadly it's time the Old one goes. That stench is pretty bad but I'm glad the name is kept along with the "old" feel. Oh and the ghosts will move next door no problem.

The mets could still miss out on the playoffs, wouldn't that be something no playoffs for both New york teams.

The Mets being in the playoffs is like having no NY team in the playoffs, there's only ONE team in NY and it sure isn't those sad sacks from Queens. #shakehead# Tatty, the Red Sox have done well this year unlike the Yankees. Their winning two World Series in the past few years is similar to Liverpool winning the league...well the Red Sox have less of a storied past, but you get the idea.

Well, at least you guys aren't Reds fans...It is depressing how horrendous a team can consistently play. It's all because there is no punishment if you are a bad team, like there is in football/soccer across the globe. Sure the fan base might shrivel a little, but the shared revenue keeps shitty teams afloat.

This is one of the things I never liked about American sports, it would make things much more interesting if there was a fight to stay in a league rather than being a last place team for years on end.

Mets Fan From Northwest England Here. Now that's an interesting choice. Are you an ex-pat or just into baseball? If so what led you to the Mets?

My mom's family is from outside louisville and they are cincinatti reds fans and the reds are just bad, kinda like that other reds team from liverpool. It is very sad.
