I'm a rock fan mostly, the latest albums I uploaded were by:
Children Collide - Aussie indie rock, young band (I'm seeing them for second time next week) and.... Cog - all the way from Bondi
Also just purchased an oldie, "Vauxhall and I" by Morrissey, and loving it!
PS One of my mates from Cornwall has 12 year old twin sons in a band called "Ice Cold Idiots" Take a look on YouTube if you can be arsed! (I especially like their version of Teenage Kicks by the Undertones).

i'm a bit obsessed with Florence and the Machine at the moment. They're a band from London. good lyrics and amazing vocals. you guys should check their album 'Lungs' out. Personal favourite songs are Cosmic Love and Hurricane Drunk.

Really? I heard their advert for their album on the television and at first I thought it was the new album from the ting tings, wasn't impressed at all. My sister really likes them but they are one of the bands that as well as not liking, I fail to see any appeal of. Not really impressed with the lyrics, better than crap like Little Boots and Pixie Lott but not good enough for me.
And bravo AussieGraham for buying a Morrissey album, if you haven't got it I would suggest that you get his first solo album Viva Hate, which in my opinion is his finest album.

I wasn't impressed with Florence and the Machine either to be honest. She absolutely grinds my gears that woman. If I have to hear another BBC idiot lord her for "throwing shapes" on stage, I'll kill myself. Literally.
Incidentally, with female music that I don't like, I use the classic sexist way of rating it. I'd rather shag Little Boots and Pixie Lott than Florence, thus she is the worst. Their music is equally shit, so how else can I choose between them?

I completely agree with you. But these people can't really complain, their record labels put up with these people for two reasons, they'll sell records because for some reason people still like crappy pop music, and because they are good looking people. Many people will not be happy with you, or anyone else rating them in such a way but it's the way they are marketed, like you said, I can't see another way of rating them, seeing as their music is equally shit as you quite correctly pointed out.

I will take you advice, thanks V>S and get it soon. I have all of the Smiths stuff but solo Morrissey was after my time in the UK and I'm new to the experience.

Exactly, until the record labels start marketing ugly pop stars, I'll keep rating them on looks.
Anyone heard the new Noah and the Whale album, cos it's meant to be excellent, and I'm considering a download?

Anyone heard the new Noah and the Whale album, cos it's meant to be excellent, and I'm considering a download? Yes. One of my favourite records this year. And Florence and the Machine are well good. But I agree Pixie Lott is the one I'd rather dip my pen in.

Yeah after great difficulty find the Noah and the Whale album, I finally downloaded it. For a concept album, it's fucking top.

It's topping the new Muse album that I'm currently indulging in. The concept of conspiracy isn't the kind of concept that would entice me to give a shit about something.
