Scored another goal, a fantastic free kick too. So three goals in a week for the lad. And this one coming at Reserve level.
-
United Reserves made a winning return to action on Thursday afternoon, beating Accrington Stanley 3-0 in the Lancashire Senior Cup.
Italian-born midfielder Davide Petrucci followed up his Academy League brace against West Brom with a stunning free-kick to kill the contest six minutes after the break. Earlier, his countryman Federico Macheda had opened the scoring after just four minutes.
Febian Brandy was the other scorer on his return from a loan spell at Swansea City. The striker netted the second after 19 minutes at The Cliff, United's former training ground.
After several postponements due to the cold weather, this was the Reserves' first match of 2009. A league fixture follows on Monday night when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side face Blackburn Rovers away.
You can see the goals against Accrington on MUTV at 18:30 GMT Thursday in Inside United, the weekly programme devoted to the club's younger players.
MUTV will show match highlights at 19:30 GMT on Friday.

The Italians are really doing well in the Academy and Reserves. Hopefully they can both try and break into the 1st team over the next couple of seasons.
