Yes mate clottey should be given his due, he is a very good and tough fighter! Makes u wonder how Pac will fair against Cotto, if Cotto can take the best from Clottey, Margarito, SSM, how is someone whos natural weight is 130lbs supposed to beat a man who is can take shots from and beat the best at 147 and above

the interesting thing will be pac man's speed but saying that everyone was shocked in the ssm and judah fight that cotto had some speed of his own.

Aye mate, but Cottos speed is nothing compared to Pacs! Advantage Pac has if this fight happens is his speed, and cottos is his strength and weight! Cotto weighed in for the clottey fight itself at 160lbs thats 13 lbs he puts on from the time of the weigh in to fight night! Guna be an intriguing fight, I cant say who would win, I want to say Cotto (favourite boxer) but i keep getting images of pac landing one clean shot to him and then taking him out with a flurry of punches!

wow 160 thats huge, i would like cotto to win simply cos of the way the media is pushing pac man, humble guy and all but it baffles me as to why mayweather has question marks after beating oscar and hatton but those fights have defined pac man. yes manny beat them impressively but facts are oscar was years older and the weight drop was just to much whereas floyd had to move up, also had his gloves picked by oscar. hatton had lost his shine after his loss to floyd and by all accounts just failed to do what he was trained to. once again no taking from pac man's achievements but no its marquez is to small for pbh, i mean the guy beat pac man we all know that he was robbed, also to be the best you have to move up or down in weight and win, thats boxing today, thats why its pound for pound.

Oah aye man! Thats why alot of welterweights have real problems with Cotto, his strength is vastly superior! I understand what your saying about PBF and his wins against DLH and Hatton. But the DLH win was a split decision, and if it had of been a younger DLH, who didnt tire towards later rounds, the outcome of the fight could have been different and in regards to Hatton, Hatton had the advantage over PBF up until the 7th IMO, so i had adapted a more defensive strategy rather than going for the KO, again he could have seen the fight out. Pac on the hand dismantled these two in devastating fashion. Again there is also the "Buts", that Del La Hoya was weight drained and that Hatton had lost his spark after the PBF fight, and didnt adhere to anything Floyd Snr was saying. Fact is im not gung put one above the other, cause Im a fan of both but not an avid fan as i would be with Cotto, and i would love both to face the master of puerto rico!

Frankie Gavin fought well tonight in only his second professional fight and looks like a fantastic prospect.
I was also very impressed with Amir Khan tonight, fought well and more professionally and looks like a better prospect - Freddie Roach is certaintly starting to turn his potential into class.
He was very good on the defense but still kept up his attack and the jab count at the end was testament to that.
Well done, Amir Khan and Frankie Gavin.

Last night I learned something about Amir Khan, the lad is going to be a success no problem. I was in a bar watching it last night and 90% of folks watching wanted him to get his balls rolled, if you can generate that kind of hatred for no reason at all and have natural talent which he has then your a nailed cert to be a success in any sport. Granted i was in the Krotelnik camp, but I was impressed at how much Khan has improved his defence and his hand speed is lightening. BUT, no matter how much he improves he will always have that chin! And a pacier, faster and more tactical hitter than Krotelnik will expose it!

^^ That's what made it an interesting fight, Kotelnik got dominated for the most part, Khan's workrate was very impressive and he seemed too much for him in terms of speed and skill but you always felt a half decent shot from Kotelnik could turn it.
To be fair he did actually seem to take a few decent digs last night and come back at his opponent straight away so maybe going up a weight has helped his durability but you still have to feel his chin is the one thing that could hold him back against the top dogs.

It's all turned back to whether Ricky will take the fight on now. The thing is, everyone seems to think Khan will roll Ricky over with ease. Surely when Ricky becomes the underdog in a fight with an unproven second class fighter, that has to spur him on. I'd be wary if I was Khan, cos Ricky still possesses a punch, and Khan has THAT chin. I'd love the fight to happen though. Could be a wonderful way for Ricky to bow out on home turf.

I've never understood the animosity that goes with Khan, also i'd suggets it is a little premature to refer to it as 'THAT' chin. Sure he got pegged but that can happen. If he were to show in future fights that he was vulnerable every time he got hit then fair enough but he hasn't so i'm reserving judgement at the moment. His ability to learn from mistakes and adapt his game has impressed me hugely. This is a different Khan but one who still possesses dizzying hand speed and a knockout punch, so if he continues to develop that defense then i'd say he's a certain for success at all levels.

He's been rocked a few times with reasonable punches. Also even after the fight the other night, I would still say his defense needs a fair bit of work. His movement allows him to get away with a lot.
I don't like Khan just because I think he's a tit. His arrogance annoys me, whereas say Naseem's years ago didn't. Until he backs it up, it will probably continue to annoy me. He beat a butcher, a baker and a candlestick maker and thought he was world class.
