As you may know, when it is not World Cup year and the cricket test has inevitabley been rained off there is infact another sporting event that may have slipped under the sporting radar.
Yeah, anyway...anyone else looking forward to this years competition? Managed to get semi-final tickets and with the new roof we're actually guaranteed a full days uninterrupted play (and I should bloody hope so to considering the price you pay!). Posibility of no Nadal this year, could be the chance for someone else to really shine, perhaps a well known grumpy scot (not Sir Alex) perhaps?

I like watching Wimbledon. Especially when British players are doing well, sort of grips the country. Murray has a good chance this year. Especially if Nadal doesnt make it. Murrays win at Queens will have done him the world of good!

Should be good. Even if Nadal plays, I think Federer could get his title back

Nadal has been ruled out.
Murray's gotta great chance this year - Federer has to be favourite though now.

over the last few i have rooted for federer and murray mania has never been of interest to me, however this year i want the fed express to win as i feel that he deserves to surpass pistol pete, but then murray has worked so hard and i would like him to win aswell. i hope they both get to the final and put on a show. may the best man win.

Roger Federer beat Yen-Hsun Lu in the first-round 7-5 6-3 6-2
Laura Robson lost to Hantuchova, but put up a great fight 3-6 6-4 6-2
Murray is on court tommorow.

I think the hype around murray is unfair on him and ridiculous. H was fortunate last night to get through, Murray has instant respect he doesn't deserve because he's won nothing substantial, though its him who plays on center when former champions are forced to play on other courts. He should be the one being made to play on the smaller courts and prove he deserves to be on center. I'm fed up with wimbeldon now, its murray this murray that, Its the same as the world cup coverage

@ johnboy
I not agree honesty...Murray proving he is a good player deserving to play at the center court,ok he may have not won any Grand Slam but seems he is on his way to do so,and as far as i know he already won few titles cos if wouldnt be so he wouldnt have more than 9000 thousands points in the Entry sistem.
He's doing well he is the N.3 in the World and still people have a go at him,its unfair really.
And about last night he ended up to win the game against a good Wawrinka, you also need luck and Federer and Co have been lucky throughtout their careers you not only need to be a great player but also being a bit lucky.
Im sure Murray will prove many doubters he is a great player.

If Wawrinka had taken his chances last night he would have been a worthy quater finalist. I'm tired of Murray.

If Murray reach the final he may win it but the only if he can handle with the pressure.... Cant see Roddick winning against Murray but im afraid the Swiss will win it again.

It'll be a Murray v Federer final and Murray's beaten Federer the last four times they've faced each other so it'll be interesting.
He'll still be underdog though and rightly so.

you right saying Murray beat Feder 4 times but Wimbledon seems to be Fed's home :/ If the final is Murray v Federer i hope Murray wont be affected by the excpectations neither by the press, will be one nation supporting for him so this sometimes cant be good. let's wait and see.....fingers crossed
