Former NFL-superstar turned dogfighter/killer has signed a two year deal worth $1.7 million the first year and $5.2 million the second year and an additional $3 million in incentives/bonuses. Story: sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4397938I know that there aren't too many followers of NFL outside of the States, but it would be interesting to get an international view of the whole Michael Vick situation. Personally, i think he has paid more than enough to "society" with his near two-year imprisonment/house arrest and i think he deserves a chance to do what he does well. After being out of the game for two years and paying hefty fines he is now $16-20 million in debt and has declared bankruptcy. On a separate, yet similar, note, another NFL player, Donte Stallworth, plead guilty to DUI manslaughter and served 24 days in jail, paid the family of the victim and only got a one season suspension...

Everyone deserves another chance, he ran a dogfighting gang, which is fucking cruel and he wouldn't of got half that if he done it in this country but there are many worse things than that.

As a ex pat now living in Philadelphia i have some thoughts on this piece of shit.
From a football(throw ball) point of view it makes sense for the Eagles to bring him in. Lets face it Mcnabb is well past his prime and the Eagles back up isn't exactly a star in the making. Vick is cheap and its only a 1 year deal to start.
From a PR point of view this will be a nightmare for the Eagles. Just from talking to people today id say the majority of them don't want him here. Of course this will change as soon as he runs/throws for his first TD.
I don't care if hes done his time in prison i still think hes a worthless piece of shit. Everyone deserves a second chance but the thought of seeing him on TV in this city totally disgusts me.
Doesnt matter anyway cause the Bucs will win the superbowl this year ;D

AS a dallas fan i hate it but philly is a perfect fit for vick. they lost their back up qb kolb to an injury. kolb was a project qb anyway he never going to amount to much anyway. they sign vick for 2 years to back up mcnabb and more importantly to be a wr/rb/ wildcat type qb it gives philly another fast weapon on offense. and with mcnabb solid as starting qb you dont need to worry about a qb controversy for another year or 2 ================== Link Building Service | SEO Link Building
