Looks like maybe Welbeck then on the bench in place of Owen for the weekend seniors game.

United playing superb against Sunderland and every single player tonight is standing out in one way or another.
1-0 - Eikrem , 8mins : Superb free kick on the edge of the area and curled wonderfully past the Sunderland keeper.
2-0 - King, 23mins : A wonderful 1-2 with Tosic afte King had done all the hard work down the flank, came back to king in the box and he slotted home calmly.
3-0 - Eikrem, 31mins : Eikrem received the ball 25 yards from goal and went for a cheeky shot, the ball flew past the keeper and into the net.
Half Time United Reserves 3-0 Sunderland Reserves
Watching the reserves play tonight is pure bliss, great going forward and great defending. King, Eikrem and Tosic look outstanding, i have a feeling a few of these players Ole has under his wing are going to be very special indeed. Cant wait for the 2nd half now.

The lads took there foot off the pedal in the 2nd half and Sunderland actually created a few decent chances. But United we're still too strong and scored a 4th.
4-0 - King, 78mins : Norwood threaded the ball through to King who beat the defender for pace and slotted the ball past the on rushing Goalkeeper.
Final Score:
United Reserves 4 - 0 Sunderland Reserves
Eikrem (2) King (2)
My Man of The Match: Josh King, looked dangerous all night and the Sunderland defence couldn't keep pace with him at all, all in all a very good performance by everyone in red and 3 pts ahead of the away game on Tuesday night at Everton.

Looks like maybe Welbeck then on the bench in place of Owen for the weekend seniors game. Yes looks as though he was rested tonight for that reason. Interesting that Macheda and Fabio both came off at half time aswell.

Eikrem and King have been in awesome form so far this season, hope they can both make a bit of an impact on the 1st team this year. It's a Norwegian thing with Ole too! ;D
