Gaelic football training is 10 times tougher than soccer. The intensity is amazing. Theres local pride about GAA thats in no other sport, you play/support the club you were born and live in and there are some great local rivalries.

No mate shamefully enough I cannot find any passion in Gaelic as I do with soccer.
I live in a Gaelic frenzy town and I still can't fall in love with my local county as I have with Manchester.
I captain my local Gaelic club and I am pretty good but still get no joy out of it.
It's United or nothing for me. Sadly.
I do stil watch other sports and have a general interest in them, but I could take them or leave them.

United first by a country mile, but I do have passion for other teams from other sports...
1. UNITED
2. My local Gaelic football club
3. Ireland
4. My county in GAA
Thats all.

Xabi Alonso learned English in Meath when he was 16 and said that Gaelic Football was a great game but unbelievably physical and the players should wear crash helmets. The physical element of gaelic football makes it fun to play, test yourself. A player from my county died a few months ago, a knee hit him in the temple during a game and he died in hospital a few days after. I take it you like the game wythenshawe? I have no passion for it, but I do like a good game.EDIT: International rules was a poxy load of shite, but it was good for the whole glorified fight element, entertainment. I might have been born in England, but my I have ancestors from County Kilkenny. Secondly, International rules I believe is for those from Ireland and for those who have Irish ancestry who were born in Oz.

Kilkenny eh? you must have played hurling then I have never played it in my life, unfortunately. My first ancestor came over to live in Ancoats in 1812, and he changed the spelling of his family name because it was too Gaelic.

Kilkenny is hurling capital if you didnt know. There are many mancunians in the same boat as you with irish ancestors. The Manchester-Ireland connection is huge.

Well it's a compromise game for the AFL and Gaelic footballers, they used to play with an oval ball when it was played in Aus but they changed that, but Aussie Rules was invented by Irish prisoners in Australia so I guess your right. Yeah Irishred is right, Kilkenny are a team of hurling androids who are programmed to win. Anyways, might as list my priorities United United reserve United youth Ireland, kinda, not sure, those scouse cunts Mc Ateer and Alrdridge make me question it, we(United of course, never refer to Ireland as 'We') got young Keane coming now though. And with all the United history from Johnny Carey dating til today, it does make the Irish team a good bit more tolerable. Dont care for the Irish team at the end of the day really though.

The only reason I support ireland is because it brings the whole community together. Also there are no real cunts in the irish team anymore.

true, and irish fans don't get on the teams back when they are playing badly. Because "us" English are neandarthals!!! Those who don't claim to have Irish roots are just in denial.
