Reserves back in competitive action tonight at home to Blackburn's second string.
Obviously no Wellbeck or Macheda tonight as they were away with the 1st team last night. But tonight we get a great chance to see Obertan, King and Tosic and Eikrem all atacking.
Line Up:
Amos Reece Brown De Laet Gill Dudgeon Hewson Eikrem James Obertan King Tosic
Subs:
Cory Evans Zieler Norwood Brandy Stewart

Half Time
United 1 - 0 Blackburn
17 Mins: Eikrem scored with a stunning free kick.
United have dominated, Ben Amos hasn't had anything to do in the United goal at all, Tosic, King, Obertan are playing well.
Interesting to see Sir Alex in the crowd tonight, no doubt looking at which players he feels will do a good job in the Carling Cup next mid week.

Full Time:
United 3-0 Blackburn
17mins: Eikrem 81mins: Brandy 91mins: Tosic
United cruised to victory over a poor but very young Blackburn side, after Eikrem's stunning free kick in the 1st half.
United dominated the 2nd half and scored there 2nd through Brandy who jumped up from an inswinging corner and nodded the ball home.
10 minutes later Zoran Tosic had a goal which he duly deserved, after some nice build up play he shot from the edge of the area and the ball smashed into the bottom corner of the net.
So another win for the reserves, who host Liverpool in the Lancashire Cup next Thursday night.
No doubt Sir Alex will have taken several good notes from the game with all the players having played well. Magnus Eikrem does seem to be a superstar in the making though and cant wait to see him for the 1st team, starting hopefully with Barnsley next mid week.

I watched bits of it but managed to miss all the goals! Eikram and Obertan really impressed (again) It's looking like a really good Reserve side.

Hope Obertan and Tosic get to play in the CC. Put Macheda/Welbeck up front.

Hope Obertan and Tosic get to play in the CC. Put Macheda/Welbeck up front. I think we going to see alot of fringe players getting a game Shimmo, what with the game being 48 hrs after the Liverpool match.
