The annoying thing is his brilliant hat-trick barely gets a passing mention yet ppl can't stop drooling about Messi... Away to 4th placed Mallorca and CR nets a hat-trick, Messi scores a brace against "mighty" 18th placed Tenerife (that too at home) & guess what, it's Magical/Mesmerizing Messi all over again... This Messi love fest is sick & I wish ppl start giving other real good players out there due credit...

Just scored a magnificent hat-trick, 33 games and 32 goals. If he'd been about all season, Real would have taken the league title already. And he'd have been challenging Messi for all the individual awards. Class player!!! There are very few words that could describe him. There are very few English teams that could have boasted players like Charlton, Best, Law, Robson, Schmeichel, Cantona, Giggs, Beckham and Ronaldo. The only two that the dippers had were Rush and Dalglish.

Ronnie : Boss, I'm going back to Manchester. Pellegrini : No, Ronnie, don't, I will lose my job if you go. Ronnie : Boss, don't worry, I'm feeling confidence you will still be manager here. I'm also feeling confidence Sir Alex will pay 60 mil pounds for me, like he said.

Time for him to come home. *Dream Team for those who have no idea who Harchester United are. It was a football drama on Sky One. Was quite good until they killed most of the main cast in a bus crash.

I know, I watched that game and it was annoying how little it was mentioned after. He just creates something from nothing, game after game. If he hadn't been injured for quite a while I reckon Madrid would have won something. I'd still rather have Ronaldo than Messi in my team any day. Well done to Ronny this season, kept up his unbelieveable record and performances. Think he's probably realised now that there's nowhere like OT

I'd pick Ronnie over Messi any day.

47 goals. On this season it has to be Messi, no contest. 33 in 35 for Ronaldo is still brilliant, but so is 47 in 51. These two are heads and shoulders above the rest though, maybe next season Rooney will be up there with these two.

You forget, Messi played basically every game, Ronaldo missed a bunch of games. Plus, his supporting cast have been shite, he and Higuain have carried that Madrid team.

And obviously in the latter rounds of the CL when the media were creaming their collective pants over Messi Ronnie and Real were sitting at home. He's now proven the class he undeniably posseses further afield, if only it was as simple as deciding it wasn't for him and returning a more humble man,,, his moral compass altered, but his goalscoring record intact.
