Nobody new has impressed except for that Nigerian keeper. Nadir Belhadj was good for Algeria, mind.

Didn't get to see the Serbia game..How did Krasic do? krasic was hopeless to be honest, couldnt trap the ball at all. To be honest I've been really dissappointed with some of the players. You heard that prat banarama going on about gourcuff and he can't even pass the ball correctly. Midfield playmaker my ass. The nigerian goalkeeper caught the eye, bradley for the americans had a fine game against england. There was some little man who played for uruguay against france and he bossed the midfield forget his name but what an engine. All the players with hype have failed miserably so far. Gourcuff, Suarez, Krasic...I know its harsh to judge them on one game but if they can't do it on the big stage we shouldn't consider buying them.

Hopefully Ozil will play for Germany tonight. He really does look the real deal everytime I've seen him. Have we been linked with him no? i know Citeh were, and the price quoted was around 20 million.

Ozil is starting should be interesting.
Ouy of the big players that have played so far Messi is the only one in which has lived up to his hype.

Ozil was really impressive imo, too bad Germans hardly ever leave the bundesliga, he could be an exciting signing on the evidence of tonights performance.

Ozil for me was fantastic in the opening game.
He has by far been the most impressive in the tournament so far.
Germany in general were fantastic.

Chelsea target Hamsik is playing for Slovakia now... It'll be interesting to see how he does.

Very impressed with Montolivo's passing and Marchisio's ability to dribble his way out of tight situations i.e. ball control. Chiellini and Criscito were good too.
I like Italian players. Technically they are really good!

For me Robert Green has been sensational.
On a more serious note, Ozil, Van der Wiel impressed me.

I thought Marchisio was really poor, as was Montolivo. Really lightweight, easily knocked off the ball and didn't offer any spark to the team. Still, that's just one game. Criscito looked a good player though and I thought De Rossi was really tenacious and energetic.

The Portugal v Ivory Coast game was a dull drab encounter, I only peered at it over the laptop as I typed away on RoM, it was less than absorbing. Danny for Portugal was poor, suprised Simao didn't start. Yeah this current crop of Portuguese players is a bad one bar Ronnie, when compared to the team of Euro 2004 which was the last hurrah of their golden generation, possible the best national side Ronaldo will play in.

Gervinho looked sharp up front for the Ivorians, he was quick, there was a real urgency to him but he also showed a few nice feints and dummy's, one poor header from a cross but the man won man of the match(albeit a poor match).
