This years World Cup has been the most profitable world cup ever.

Its the sign of the times?? well its also a world coming out of recession...so its more to do with where FIFA have chosen to host the world cup...

For a post appartide country, its amazing how they have allowed FIFA to colonise their country and bring back draconian laws and regulations which the country left behind when mandela left prison those many years ago.

-FIFA forced south africa to allow it to operate on a non taxed basis, therefore they have paid no tax to south africa for any business they have done.

-They have made nearly a £1,000,000,000(1bil) pounds profit, without taking ANY RISK i.e they make SA do everything(build stadiums, improve transport systems, build new hotels etc) then take the money they generate. SA made almost half as much in profit. (400mil)

-As we all know, Blatters nephew owns the company which does the hospitality for the world cup. They reserved thousands of rooms at inflated prices, realised that no fucker could afford to come over and waited until the last minute and re released the rooms to the hoteliers (leaving them in the lerch, too late to sell them)

- FIFA forced SA to set up kangeroo courts which fast track people to being charged. This was last done in apprtide days. SA is well known for having a slow court system, they still do UNLESS YOU STEP ON FIFAS CORPERATE TOES!! --for example the dutch larger firm and their models--the england fan set who told beckham and the boys they were overpaid cunts.

-WORSE still, FIFA forced SA to introduce merchandise laws which meant severe punishment for anyone who uses the FIFA name....so, local south africans cannot sell anything which links football to south africa...nothing...all the money is being made by FIFA's ''FAMILY'' who have workers in china making fucking lion dolls which dicks. A local South african man started making keyrings, but FIFA found out and BAM hes in jail.

-FIFA introduced a law forbidding 'disparaging comments about FIFA in the press'' ---- when was the media last controlled like this?? oh about 20 years ago thats when....

--A lot of the freedom figheters have now been given top jobs in football and golden tickets by FIFA...funnily enough this means no one is saying much

--If FIFA were a country they would be akin to Zimbabwe invading a country and placing loads of dreconian laws in place and raping the land of its profits.

--SA relaxed a law which banned forgien companies exporting and importing cash into their country, funny, they relaxed it just for this month....

--FIFA allowed the purchasing of tickets to be done only over the internet. Funny, seeing as AFRICA is the most internet deprived continent in the world. So, when stadiums were half full and they had to sell them on the door FIFAs system went down.

FIFA does have an arm of good, but at the core it is fundamentally an evil raping bastard--which has finally done its worse.

This was a wonderful success for FIFA because SA allowed them to do anything they wanted...SA sold themsevles to FIFA, if FIFA were a country it would be sanctioned under the UN.

If what said is true then yes fifa are being sly fuckers but this is nothing new. Fifa is run by clowns, they won't put goal line technology in place because they don't own the rights to it and it won't be profitable to fifa having it. Bladder keeps talking about the commerical premierleague when his own organisation developed the worst ball ever and forced players to play with it, thats very commercial isn't it?. No country really makes anything from hosting the world cup or olymipic games.

"Just bringing boys and girls together, organising schooling and health education, providing the tools to fight poverty and disease – that is the legacy we want to leave," said Sepp Blatter at the start of the World Cup. But one week after it finished, legacy-seeking press focus has stayed on Fifa's other big win: its estimated £2bn tax-free profit.

The latest stories around the ethical set-up of the tournament concern the already controversial Jabulani ball. It was written off as "inadequate" by Gianluigi Buffon, and Robinho said: "The guy that designed it never played football." But the aerodynamics probably weren't top priority for Pakistani workers stitching for Adidas, being paid less than £1.85 a day, say the International Labour Rights Forum. That's less than £50 a month.

Reports about the ball follow similar stories surrounding official replicas of the World Cup mascot, Zakumi, produced in China with factory workers earning £1.90 a day, while Nike had its World Cup replica kits made by workers in Jakarta, paid £3 a day.

"'The World Cup succeeded in highlighting many of the positive aspects of the African continent," says Will Prochaska, director of Alive & Kicking, a charity making balls in Africa in Fairtrade conditions. "But if Fifa had decided to run the tournament ethically instead, by supplying balls and merchandise from African businesses and social enterprises, then it could have saved itself the hassle of its legacy programme because the tournament would have helped generate a considerable socioeconomic boost to the region by itself."

Media focus remains, too, on the fallout from stringent laws Fifa required South Africa to pass preventing locals from producing products related to the tournament. Fifa lawyers warned: "Those attempting to benefit from the publicity surrounding the 2010 Fifa World Cup without paying sponsorship fees could land themselves in very hot water" – and were true to their word.

One "ambush marketing" case involved a lollipop maker being dragged through the courts for calling a sweet "The 2010 Pop", while, as reported last week, a Port Elizabeth bar owner was threatened with a £4,500 fine for putting up posters reading "The Phoenix Hotel and Stage Door pub welcomes the world to the World Cup". A restaurant owner, meanwhile, was threatened with jail for writing "2010" on a football and putting it in his window. "They tried to take advantage," Fifa said.
