A reply from a Carlisle fan on how James Chester played today. I know its League 1 and all that, but from the sounds of that its very encouraging news. People say he's too small for a centre but he's 5 ft 11, thats not small in my opinion.

Aye i know he is. doesnt make any difference. height means nothing, its all about strength and abilty to read the game.
being tall as a centre back isnt always an attribute that is required. sometimes tall centrebacks are donkies.
how about 5ft 9in Cannavaro?

Bloody hell, anyone see Josh King on Football league show? He ran straight through 1 on 1 with the keeper because of his pace, sort of scuffed/choked it and hit it tamely at the keeper, hopefully it was a case of nerves/coming on cold or something, he's a better player than that so it's frustrating.

@pj - Yeah I don't think height makes much difference these days, its just I've heard a lot of people say he won't make it because of his height. I hope he can prove the doubters wrong and make it at United.

That miss by King was very poor he's usually a clinical finisher. You can tell fuck all about any of the loanees from that show though.

Yeah I've been doing that mate. Matty James got voted Preston's 3rd best player today on their forum, can't tell much from that though.
