I can't remember which thread it was, but he was very rude to one of the moderators. Shame though, apart from that stupid moment of disrespect, I liked his posts. Seemed like an intelligent guy most of the time.

He did seem to confront people on here. His attitude changed if you didn't agree with him. I did notice that.

Its not that he was rude to the mods. I mean, we are not teachers or the police! Its just his overall wanker attitude and as JOM said, his attitude changed if you didn't agree with him. No time for people like that.

I completely disagreed with him about Berba but I still thought he was a good poster...

I thought he was a good poster alright but harped on logic and rationale (esp Berba and Shitty) regarding most things which was a wee bit annoying.. You are obviously not gonna hear completely unbiased opinion on a football forum, are ya ?

Opinions are rarely the problem, the manner which they presented is. Not entirely surprised to see him gone, he did tend to fly off at anyone who disagreed with him.

No Fletchebey is totally right. Saying everyone is entitled to an opinion is all very well, but I'm sorry the manner in which it is conveyed DOES count for something on this forum and will do as long as I a moderator.

I do believe that sometimes, there are people who know how to wind others up, and with respect to ID(even though I had run-ins with him) he was 100% correct in the thread that got him banned. Correct in the sense that we should be allowed to express our opinions whether they be negative or positive about a Manchester United player. From what I can gather, ID was quite positive about certain Manchester United players and negative about others. You know what they say about the truth hurts.

He was not banned for his opinions, rather because we went out of line, not only on the public forum, but in private conversations as well. And truth only hurts when its true, not when its some made up bullshit written or expressed to wind someone up, or vent ones frustration by disguising it as truth. ID was a good poster and his opinions were straight forward, but it is the confrontational attitude that got him in trouble. It is what gets everyone in trouble, not their opinions.People should realize this by now.

Surely as you know yourself, he was a very clever person who spoke very well and articulated his argument very well. I fear that he was banned for merely stating what he thought, remember, it was a thought, and not a FACT. It was never an affirmation that it was being moderated by the police. As for his confrontational attitude, I know all about it, having been on the other end, but he knows sometimes when to cool it, and was very honest about it...i.e stick to your opinions, even if it is wrong, stick to it, otherwise it makes you an hypocrite. This is one word I cannot use against ID.

This is one word I cannot use against ID. Sticking to your opinions is just as important as is realizing when your opinions are not correct and owning up to it. If one cannot do that then one's just stubborn, and recognizing that one could be wrong is not being hypocrite rather being secure enough to admit that one can be wrong. And no, he was not banned because of what you think. He was already on a warning. That is what killed it for us. Had he not been on a warning, he'd still be here. Warning levels are there for a purpose.

Warning levels are there for a purpose. Actually, I did speak up for ID in his defence so that the both of us could have our warning level go down a notch. Stewart didn't know, so, we just had to bear with it. In any case, I fail to see how his warning level went from 30% straight to 100%, unless he said something personal towards you or any of the other mods and admin. As I see it, he said something that was misconstrued as a personal remark against Stewart(I think) and in fact, when I read it, it was just a sarcastic remark. Anyway, he has gone, so, I think its best to let sleeping dogs lie.
