I’d take a couple of bad years if it meant grabbing someone of that caliber. Problem is i don’t think it’s in Bills nature lol. Actually just finished watching the 1st round of the draft. Patriots traded their pick...shock horror. The 2nd and 3rd round should be pretty juicy though.

Didn't think I could be even more disappointed after the first day, but 2 picks later, here I am. Just baffling...

I have no idea what they were thinking but I really hope they have a plan and a strategy in mind because right now it doesn't make much sense. One theory that I've seen and it would make me feel a bit better was that they're betting on this upcoming season being cancelled or even if it is played, the rookies won't have much of an impact because of the lack of pre-season and so on. Even so, almost all the picks look like huge stretches and were ranked much lower.

If there was any merit to it then you trade away most of this years picks and stockpile for next year.

Yeah, but that would also mean no college season and harder to evaluate prospects but I know, I'm literally grasping at straws here. Hopefully this plan of transforming the offense in a run heavy one is going to work.

You know what I’m saying. A lot of these teams are carried by the franchise qb and when they leave the coach is exposed. In this case i think it’s been more 50/50 for years now. I think as long as they can get a competent replacement they will still have a decent season and they can keep looking for a replacement. Have to say I’m a little sad that the patriots offered Brady absolutely nothing. Bit of a slap in the face after everything. Listen, We’ve all been there. We all tell ourselves it’s going to be ok. I did it after Elway and then again after Manning. It’s fine, it’s part of the process. The fact that you have very little money to spend or bugger all draft capital to play with isn’t relevant at this stage. That comes later when you announce Andy Dalton as your starter. Just, because, you know...
