Well that's how I feel about City and Pool. But I agree with you. Yeah but we are supposed to be the strong team stopping Citeh and the vermin winning anything... Well it does help if your summer doesn't involve the CEO and manager firing shots at each other while everyone else is caught in the crossfire . I don't think that was conducive to team harmony . Oh and we still have a lot of dross to shift! Until that happens we will carry on plodding along!

Neil Warnock kicking off about clyne and Liverpool going back on their word. doesn't surprise me. definitely been thrown in as a sweetener to bournemouth for the 20m donkey they've just bought If anyone is still dreaming of a Eddie Howe appointment the the 3 transfers alone from Pool for close to 40 million should be enough. Not because of where they have come from but because they're fucking shite! We get it, you dont like Howe. The price of the players he has bought are more a reflection on the market since PSG upped the ante.

Oliver Burke has gone to Celtic on loan.
Interesting to see how he gets on, was supposed to be hot shit when he left Forest for Red Bull, career has stalled since then though. Still only 21. So odd as he looked really good as a youth prospect. Still only 21 so who knows

We probably have a very different view on what is shite. Do I want them here? Absolutely not. Are they Bournemouth level? Absolutely. Jury is out on Solanke but if you know something everyone else doesn't then fair play to you. I dont think hes had an awful lot of playing time in his two seasons at the dippers, but he has a very good scoring record for England u21s and u20s. Clyne is a decent prem RB. Proved that against us in his only game this season. I'm probably not the only person who has expected more from Ibe. He looked a good young talent when he first broke through under Rodgers. If you are using that to say Howe is a bad manager, might be worth mentioning that Im pretty sure Richard Hughes is the Bournemouth head of recruitment.

It doesn't matter who is the head of recruitment. Are you suggesting Howe hadn't agreed to this signing? They have spent 20 million on a bloke who has scored one goal. Ibe has done nothing to justify his 15 million pound fee and Clyne was arguably decent a fee years ago, very little to suggest so in between injuries since. Just because Bournmouth are a mid table club doesn't mean they should be spunking silly money on bang average players. I would be amazed if they didn't already have better in their academy than the two they've bought.

Didn't run it past the CEO or the money men. You might call it silly money the 19mill for Solanke, but the sad fact is for a mid table club that isn't silly money any more. WBA paid 15 mill for Oliver Burke 2 years ago and hes now off to Scotland on loan. Look at what Fulham spooged in summer alone! Clyne is going to Bournemouth on a loan. If it doesn't work he will go home. Hardly a major gamble considering they've lost 2 of their starting full backs to injury. Hes there as cover. Can't deny Ibe has failed to live up to his potential. But he isn't shite for Bournemouth level. You can't compare us to them.

Signing a player is down the manager.
The transfer fee paid is down to the money men.
Do people really think it's still the 1980's, where the managers are calling each other and saying "I'll give you X amount for that player"?
The managers tell the money men who they want and the negotiating of the fees are done behind the scenes. Whether Bournemouth paid 1M or 100M has nothing to do with Howe, at all. If Solanke succeeds or flops is on Howe, but the price paid is nothing to do with him.

Pavard to Bayern for £31.4m - seems very reasonable in todays market.

The more informed rags are reckoning De Jong to Barce for 75million euros. 21 years old, looks a real player. Think we are mad to not chase him and De Ligt

Pavard to Bayern for £31.4m - seems very reasonable in todays market. Some clubs don't seem to get stung for big fees! Because these clubs don't fuck about. They behave like actual football clubs . If this was Woodward, he'd be doing his utmost to lower that fee by as much as possible like the utter clown he is.
