Re-watched Layer Cake. Pure class. May have to re-watch this because I watched it years ago and didn’t enjoy it a great deal. Which was surprising as it’s my kind of movie.

Late to this one but finally watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Good watch but expected more when looking at the cast. Di Caprio is superb as usual but the movie doesn’t make my Tarantino top 5. Which isn’t a major criticism as pretty much all of his movies are iconic.

I found the ending a completely pointless exercise first time out and while I’ll never be truly sold on it, it didn’t bother me quite as much next time out.

I laughed at a few moments in those final scenes tbh. I think the pace of the movie was too slow in parts. Was genuinely getting bored at a couple of points which is an odd feeling for a Tarantino movie. Good but doesn’t hold up to many of his other movies IMO.

RIP Ennio Morricone - arguably the greatest composer in movie history. Every Metallica concert I've been to, opens with Ecstasy of gold. What a tune. R. I. P.

Vangelis leaps to mind with Chariots of Fire.. But Ennio is an all time great. For me it is him and Zimmer. Only these 2 could be argued for the nomination of the GOAT.

I am at one with my shame. Although, personally, I prefer Zimmer's works over Williams.
