the other day i wanted to watch a movie, couldnt really decide though. i then remembered that its been ages since i've seen the original alien. oh what a great decision it was. that film is still up there with the best sci-fi horror movies ever. the music and that dark, claustrophobic atmosphere are still fantastic after almost 45 years since its release. Fantastic film, Aliens though is on another level for me. Directors cut is beautiful. Agree. I don’t actually care much for Alien but Aliens is fab. |

A Man Called Otto is very, very Meh. Instantly forgettable.
Also watched Mississippi Burning the other night, which is the exact opposite; great film.

Just saw Elemental. It's getting a very unfair rap from reviewers IMO, I enjoyed it. Not Pixar's best but it's much harder for them to be revolutionary at this stage. If you like Pixar, give it a go.

No Russell Crowe or Ollie Reed though ☹️ Could be a shoe in for a movie night tomorrow, followed by The green mile. Fucking hell, I'll be balling my eyes out by the end of those two 😂 I was thinking about how we were all getting super hyped about the batman films on here! Seems few and far between now that we get blockbusters like that. |
