its amazing to see quintana and froome. they are like siamese twins all the time. whatever the one does, the other one tries to follow him. yesterday was fantastic. quintana with 4 attacks, after the second i thought that he`s not gonna try another one. and its just insane how quickly froome can cover up meters. I missed today's race so have it waiting on sky planner. Heard it was good shit, missed it too. just checked the results

Was always going to be a big ask of Froomey to win the Vuelta. Quintana had a very poor tour (by his standards) and didnt go to the Olympics, so would have been that bit more refreshed in comparison to Froome. Also needs to be taken into consideration, Movistar have brought a very strong team to the Vuelta with two possible winners in their pack, Valverde and Quintana. Sky's team is not as strong as the team they brought (and bring) to the tour each year.

In fairness Movistar brought both lads to le Tour also. I don't really like the Olympics excuse as it was only a one day race lol Nairo did plenty between the tours.
I agree that this isn't as strong as Sky team but as a viewer i have to say i'm delighted they don't have as strong as squad because it highlights that Froome is beatable. There are some amazing GC riders who ride on teams where they have split goals. This Sky team has only 1 goal (no sprinter or lead out) so you would normally expect them to be strong enough regardless. Maybe they got exposed just by amazing work of Movistar and Tinkoff?

The Tour of Britain finished in Bath today, so I went down to watch the finish. Got myself there in plenty of time to get a good spot, but during the finish every fucker was leaning over the railings with their phones and cameras so I could barely see what was going on. Why can't people just enjoy the moment?

Why can't people just enjoy the moment? fuck that shit! its so annoying that everywhere you`re going you got people all over staring in their smartphones. be it sport events, cinema, bars, restaurants, parcs, public transport, cars and whatever. experienced the same at this years tour de france stage in bern. or everytime again in the velodrome. even at bike messenger championships you got them everywhere. saw this brilliant waste of time documentary "zombie apocalypse" the other day. people convinced that earth might be struck soon by a zombie apocalypse. a real one like in the fucking movies, just that the zombies dont rise from their graves. whatever, got a kinda zombie situation here. people getting hit by cars, bikes, trams, buses cause they cant stop looking in their damn phones. if you film it, you can make a "zombie annihilation" documentary.

Just found out Michele Scarponi got killed while on a training ride yesterday. He was on the verge of retirement and had 2 young kids. Tragic.

That was quite possibly the best stage I've seen.. super racing and incident packed.. hopefully Ritchie Porte hasn't done anything too severe.. that was a horrible horrible crash he had
