I'm almost embarrassed at how excited I am for this. I literally did a happy dance when it was officially announced. I turn 40 this year... Holy fucking shit! Can’t wait! Hidden blade is back too! Feels like I’ve already played it seems I’ve been playing Odyssey again and watching Vikings recently! It really does look good. It looks so much like the Vikings tv show aesthetically, much more than I thought it would. Other people have pointed out that Odin looks a lot like Altair from AC 1. I'm not so sure, but it would be cool if they somehow tie the Assassins in with Norse mythology. Glad that the hidden blade is back, but I didn't see any sign of an eagle, that's been one of my favourite things of the last two games, so I hope they keep it. There was a bird that flew up from Odin in the tailor. Couldn't tell what it was, but it could have been an eagle, or maybe a Raven. It would be cool if the playable character had a Raven instead of an eagle to tie in with Odin's mythology. There are lots of animals from Norse Mythology that could be used in interesting ways.

I turn 40 this year... fuck yeah! also did a little happy dance on the couch when i saw the historical background of the upcoming title. cant wait for this. we'll see some great releases on pc this year with titles like this or the cyberpunk 2077 game from the witcher series developers. I'm looking forward to Beyond Good & Evil 2. I don't know too much about it, but every trailer I've seen looks like something I would enjoy. I really like huge open world games.

Just taken a look at it now looks incredible. You should definitely have a look at the last two games, Origins and Odyssey, if you haven't played them. The series has gone through a soft reboot and is now much more of a traditional open world RPG than the older titles were. All the best parts of the older games have been kept, so it still feels like an AC game, but just about everything else has improved. Both games are massive.

The previous installment is a classic. I'm looking forward to it too. What I am most looking forward to is Ghost of Tsushima. That gameplay trailer was sensational.

Rashfjord now has a 5* rating! I'd like to thank redcase for his undying support in my Animal Crossing endeavours. I also made the town flag a really crap drawing of the United crest. I was never much of an artist.

Finished DOOM last week (not the latest one), good fun.
Working my way through Far Cry 5, beautifully animated - reminds me of a reversal of the scenario in Wild Wild Country (worth a watch on Netflix!)

It's absolutely nuts man, can't believe half of what happened and even more bizarre as I read so much Osho in Uni and had no idea that was the same guy - I recall looking at the cover, and chuckling to myself that the dude looks like Osho

if i remember correctly there were one or two lads in here who are also into space games. got some suggestions/news for you.
i finally got into STELLARIS now, after the complexity of the game made me give up on it a couple of months ago. and man can i recommend that game. absolutely brilliant, beautiful, complex, in depth space exploration/strategy/political/ecological management game with a world class soundtrack, similar to hans zimmer stuff. if you`re into space as a theme/hobby etc and a bit of gaming, pick up STELLARIS.
STAR CITIZEN: the biggest crowd funding project ever, the one game that looks better than everything ever made, the one game that will never get finished, the one game that tries to revolutionize the gaming industry, the one game where you can buy ingame ships for thousands and thousands of dollars, the one game with ambitions that are just insane and the one game i probably have the most hours in. STAR CITIZEN is currently free to play until the 2nd of june and all flyable ships are ready to try and fly for free. including ships that would cost you 2000 dollars to actually fly them right now. that said: its an alpha...its been an alpha for like 7 years now, dont forget that. if anyone wants to try it for free, hit me up before you do. so you can use my referal code which gives you some additional ingame currency to start with.
also wanna talk about SPACE ENGINE. space engine is available on steam, although its not really a game. it is a science-based photorealistic interactive 3D planetarium that models the entire Universe, using procedural generation for uncharted areas. i`m just gonna copy the description in here which explains it perfectly:
"SpaceEngine is a 1:1 scale science-based Universe simulator, featuring billions upon billions of galaxies, nebulae, stars, and planets, all shown at their full real-world scale. Explore Earth and our neighboring worlds in the Solar System, orbit a black hole in a galaxy billions of light-years away, or visit anything in between seamlessly, with no transitions. All of time and space are yours to explore – cruise between the stars at a million times the speed of light, and accelerate time to watch the orbital motions of a thousand worlds play out before your eyes. Every planet you encounter in your journey will feature procedural 3D terrain with detailed textures. Everything you see in the sky – stars and galaxies, planets and moons, asteroids and comets, black holes and neutron stars, star clusters and nebulae – are yours to explore at the press of a button. Spacecraft with Newtonian physics and pilot-assist autopilot features (in early development but fully usable) are yours to fly anywhere in the universe in the Flight Simulator mode. SpaceEngine is also very friendly for creators of mods and add-ons – create your own planets, star systems, even galaxies, import your own spacecraft models, create custom GUI skins, and more, all easily sharable with others.
With SpaceEngine, the possibilities are limitless."
it has unbelievable graphics, brilliant soundtrack, open for modding, ingame wikipedia that you can also edit yourself. its actually a learning tool and even used as that. and the most incredible part about SPACE ENGINE is: its developed by a single person. one fucking guy is creating that insane software. thats hard to grasp to be honest. if you are remotely interested in space, the universe etc, space engine is an absolute must have. sometimes when i want to chill i just start space engine, listen to some good music, have a glass of whisky and go on exploration tour through the universe, read up on discoveries and just spend hours educating myself in that amazing program.
edit: and i think its only around 20-25 euros. that guy deserves some support for the tremendous work he is doing to make this available for everyone.
