On the subject of prices: I'd never pay more than £15 to see any band. Ever. So much so, I've asked my mate to see if he can guestlist me to see Korn next month. so unless you know the right people the only bands you ever see are the obscure or up and comers? Depend what you call obscure. But pretty much, yeah.

fair do's. i don't really discover bands til they've got an album out and start playing the bigger venues so i don't think i've ever paid as little as 15 quid for a ticket. last gig i saw was stone temple pilots at brixton academy - ticket value £37.50. was happy with that one

What's everyones thoughts on Bill Ward not being in the Sabbath reunion? Scandalous, I say.

It's been all over the metal news, dude. Last week Bill issued a statement saying he was unable to do the reunion because the contract he was offered wasn't good enough. Sabbath replied by saying they were disappointed Bill had decided he couldn't do it, but that the door was always open for him. Then rumours started that Sharon had fired him. Sharon then denied that. Bill's son then made a statement saying his dad has been harshly treated etc.,

How are Killswitch still going with no singer and without their principal songwriter? Plus have they done anything of note since 2003?

Killswitch have reunited with their original singer. Feel free to correct me if I've got that wrong.
And has anyone else heard that Sabbath have cancelled all dates except Download. Looking doubtful though. Really expecting them to pull out of that one too.

Sonisphere are making an announcement on Monday at 8. It has to be fucking amazing, because the delay has really cost them so far. Particularly with Download being so strong.

the last i'd heard about sabbath was bill ward denying he'd pulled out. he said he was looking forward to touring.
yeah it would be understandable if they pulled out of download, if iommi isn't fit then i'd much rather they did pull out than play on without him.
no iommi - no sabbath.

Some of the best live acts in my opinion are Iron Maiden, ACDC, Rage against the Machine, Lamb of God, Five finger death punch, Megadeth and the Red Hot Chili Peppers(God they are fucking awesome, was gutted when Frusciante decided to leave). I've yet to see Metallica live, which has always been a dream for me. Also, I want to see Animals as Leaders play CAFO . Notable mention to Airbourne just because Joel O'Keefe is a fucking madman. \m/ P.S. sorry to go off topic, but has anybody here seen Yanni play live?? It is probably one of the best experiences music has to offer.
