Handshakes?
I'm sure Rosa Parks would agree with this statement.

He's such a dick. A sleazy, corrupt, Toblerone sucking, cuckoo rimming, time pedantic, Swiss dick.
It's okay Sepp, I'll just shake your hand and we can move on. . .

Does this mean any fans getting charged for racial abuse no longer get bans but merely have to shake hands with the footballer they abused?
It just makes no sense at all, he's such a dick.

Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand has described himself as "astonished" by comments made by Sepp Blatter regarding racism earlier today.
The FIFA president told CNN World Sport that racism was not rife within football, something that has shocked England international Ferdinand.
"Tell me I have just read Sepp Blatter's comments on racism in football wrong....if not then I am astonished," the 33-year-old wrote on Twitter.
"I feel stupid for thinking that football was taking a leading role against racism.....it seems it was just on mute for a while."

Yeah seen Rio tweet earlier, he seemed totally shocked by Blatter comments. I thin everyone in world football did, I wonder how he will wiggle his way out of this one.

My God the man is mentally fucking retarded, surely? I used to just hate him, now I genuinely suspect he has Alzheimer's; he keeps coming out with the most ridiculous statements but somehow keeps his job? I suspect he is/was a Nazi war criminal and had close ties to Hitler. If this is untrue, then I will shake his hand, and there will be no harm done, and no legal claims for defamation of character will be brought by him, because a good old manly shake of the hand cures all ills.

Blatter: "as football players, during a match, you have 'battles' with your opponents, and sometimes things are done which are wrong. But, normally, at the end of the match, you apologise to your opponent if you had a confrontation during the match, you shake hands, and when the game is over, it is over. Anyone who has played a football match, or a match in any sport, knows that this is the case."
That rules you out then Sepp -
Head of Public Relations of the Valaisan Tourist Board in his native Switzerland General Secretary of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation Director of Sports Timing and Relations of Longines S.A. - Sports Timing?? That explains the lack of 3pm kick offs so Was involved in the organization of the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games In the early 1970s, Blatter was elected president of the World Society of Friends of Suspenders, an organization which tried to stop women replacing suspender belts with pantyhose
Blatter first entered the world of football in 1973 as president of the Zurich Brown Shirts, though ultimately failed to obtain the required funding and gain enough attention through various large rallies in order to turn the 'club' fully professional.
Since 1975 Blatter has been working at FIFA, first as Technical Director (1975–1981), then General Secretary (1981–1998) before his election as FIFA President in 1998. He was re-elected as head of FIFA in 2002, and was re-elected unopposed for another four years on 31 May 2007, even though only 66 of 207 FIFA members nominated him.
Remind me again how the fuck he got elected President?? We moan about Platini and that, but at least they had the decency to actually play the game first!

Blatter is kind of like Blair once everyone realised he was all lies, sleaze, corruption and spin - Somehow managing to stay in power even though most people want him gone.

Top 10 outrageous Blatter quotes;
1. "He should say that this is a game. We are in a game, and at the end of the game, we shake hands, and this can happen, because we have worked so hard against racism and discrimination."
- Blatter's answer to dealing with racist comments during a match.
2. "Let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball. They could, for example, have tighter shorts. Female players are pretty, if you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some different rules to men – such as playing with a lighter ball. That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?"
- Advice on how to attract more followers to women's sports.
3. "I think in football there's too much modern slavery in transferring players or buying players here and there, and putting them somewhere."
- Referring to the treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo during the transfer saga between Manchester United and Real Madrid.
4. "Please do not insist on the technology. The day that the referee takes two captains aside to study monitors and see if something is inside the box or outside is the day the spectators will say no, we are not coming to the game."
- Blatter's refusal to introduce video technology into the modern game.
5. "I would say they should refrain from any sexual activities."
- Advising how gay fans should behave during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where homosexuality is banned.
6. "I could understand it if it had happened in Africa, but not in Italy."
- Commenting on the match-fixing scandal in Italy.
7. "Listen, this is a special approach in the Anglo-Saxon countries. If this had happened in let's say Latin countries, then I think he would have been applauded."
- Referring to England captain John Terry's alleged affair with ex-teammate Wayne Bridge's girlfriend.
8. "I know myself, I was always a striker. But it's 50 years ago now – but I'm still a little bit of a striker. We tried to dribble, but when we could not go through and someone put his foot there, what do you do? You do a little bit more than you should have done. Is this so terrible? I don't think so. At least it's not so terrible that we should intervene after a match."
- Defending players' decisions to dive during a match.
9. "Every game should have a winner. When you play cards or any other game, there's always a winner and a loser. We should have the courage to introduce a final decision in every game of football."
- Considering a ban on draws.
10. "The guardians of the rules are in agreement to lengthen the goals by the diameter of two balls, around 50cm, and to increase the height by the diameter of one ball."
- A proposal to increase the distance between goalposts.
