I hope their transition is as good as ours.
Despite losing his touch over the last few years it would be funny watching them struggle after so many of their fans giving Wenger shit.

Expect his replacement to get top 4, Leicester showed just what a difference not playing European football can make.
In many ways Arsene stuck around 5-10 years too long, so the tarnishment of his legacy can be partially blamed on himself.

I think they're in for a shock next season with Wenger gone.
We're 3 managers in, after Ferguson.
Going to be extremely difficult for them, even if somebody like Tuchel was to take over.

We went from first to seventh. And Fergie left on a high. They ain't going to drop a further six places from wherever they finish. Arsenal have barely even been treading water for about 5 years, I think they'll improve on this year with some fresh ideas and new motivation. Nobody will be gutted that he's leaving, yet we had the whole squad on a downer from the off.

Wenger's been there over 20 years, transitions can be notoriously difficult in football, even more so when a manager has been in place for that long. We're 3 managers in, after Fergie won us the title in his last season. Everything changes, coaching staff, backroom team, etc, etc. Going to be extremely difficult, I respect your opinion though.

Exactly this^ We're 3 managers in, same thing could well happen at Arsenal if their fans are impatient. If their new manager doesn't hit the ground running and what he's trying to implement doesn't come off then Arsenal will be in a whole lot of bother. Transitions don't happen successfully overnight, that's for sure.

Allegri is the front runner for this isn;t he? Hopefully doesn't bring Dybala with him.

If only to really wind Piers Morgan up, I'd love to see them flounder with a new manager. Ideally after a decent start that peters out around Christmas.
If Morgan were to, say, die of a massive coronary, then I might not mind Arsenal making some sort of revival.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has paid a heartfelt tribute to his old adversary at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger.
The two bosses oversaw some titanic battles between 1996 and 2013, including one of the greatest games in FA Cup history - the 1999 semi-final replay at Villa Park. Wenger announced on Friday morning that he is stepping down at the end of the season, after 22 years in the job.
"I am really happy for Arsene Wenger," Sir Alex told ManUtd.com. "I have great respect for him and for the job he has done at Arsenal.
"It is great testament to his talent, professionalism and determination that he has been able to dedicate 22 years of his life to a job that he loves. In an era where football managers sometimes only last one or two seasons, it shows what an achievement it is to serve that length of time at a club the size of Arsenal.
"I am pleased that he has announced he is leaving at this stage of the season, as he can now have the send-off that he truly deserves. He is, without doubt, one of the greatest Premier League managers and I am proud to have been a rival, a colleague and a friend to such a great man."
United's next outing at Old Trafford is against Wenger's Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday 29 April - the 60th time the Frenchman will have faced the Reds, winning 18 games, drawing 15 and losing 26.

It makes me wonder if he said this (retiring at the end of the season) just to try and win the Europa, win the Europa and then say "I will see my contract out for one last shot at the EPL/ Champions League.", just a thought.
In all, though he and SAF were the longest-serving managers and then SAF retired and left Wenger to become the longest-serving manager, as SAF once said "Football managers nowadays have a lifespan of around 4 years at the most..." or something like that, but whoever takes over at Arsenal manager wise I think the Gooner fans are in for a big shock and I don't think they will get the instant success they crave for.
