Okay, it's official from RVP. Let's go, full mobilisation. I talk a lot about "fear factor" in our signings. This one would cause genuine shockwaves if we could get him. Full speed ahead! I like this a lot! We're Manchester United. Teams should bloody fear us!! Chuck in another midfielder and we'd beat teams in the tunnel again. *swoon*

For both Utd and indeed football's sake I hope they don't sell him to City. Surely Wenger will tell them to piss off?

If he's avaliable for anything under £20mill, and we don't, at the very least, put a bid in that region, then I'll be annoyed.

He'll move abroad. Probably to Italy. I'm 100% sure of this.

City will blow us away with wages Tatty. Unless he has his heart set on Utd. Only hope is that Wenger sells him abroad.

"Van Persie will complete his move to #MCFC within two weeks. Fee of around £22m. Contract worth £225k per week already agreed"
Tweet from Ian McGarry from the BBC, he's been wrong before but it wouldn't surprise me. He won't go to Italy, doubt he'll go to Barca so I can only really see RM or City. He's going to be asking for huge wages and I can't see us spending £20m+ / £200k+ per week on a 29 year old, especially when he's had a history of injury prone seasons. That's a hell of a lot of money for 3 - 5 year contract, money that I'd rather see spent elsewhere personally.

I hope to higgs boson Man City don't sign him. Wenger has to enforce a move elsewhere. He cannot possibly let him go to City. I think Real or Juve will fancy him.

The rumours of him going to city have been around for a while. Would be a shame if he goes there. I'm not particularly fussed, if he came here he'd only be injured. Not to mention he scored about 40% of his career goals last season, so he has that risk of maybe being a bit of a one season wonder. I'm just not interested in getting into some tug of war for him, we have other things to be getting on with.
Real should be in for him, I'm not massive fan of their strikers.

I hope to higgs boson ... ^ i like this, quite funny! ;D as for him going to Man City. id say that would be worse than the shock of loosing Van persie in the first place. IF arsenal sell another of their best players to Citeh, where is the credibility of the club? they would only be re-enforcing the common theory that they are Citeh's feeder club.

If I was an Arsenal fan I could just about stomach seeing Toure go as he wasn't very good, Adebayor as he was a selfish prick, Nasri as he is THE selfish prick but this would be the one that would finish me off. They would come under a massive amount of pressure from fans if their captain goes there too. If Van Persie goes there than I'm asking myself when is Witlshire going there? Or Vermaleen? Basically any decent player they have is fair game and they really do look like City's feeder club. Which for a side Arsenal with their history really isn't good enough.
I don't know, maybe I'm romanticising it too much but I always considered them to be our most worthy opponents unlike the Rents or City. It'll be genuinely quite sad in a way if he goes to City IMHO.
