Gerrard is the best English midfielder of the last 20 years, don't forget that.

Very interesting article. However, they missed out on one key point. Mendes and Sir Alex are bum chums. Really doubt Mendes would risk annoying the Old Trafford management in such a blatant manner.

I get u ginger, but really... who gets in between an agent and the $$$$? there is no room for sentiment in business, and if Mendez intends to keep his clients then he will try every trick in the book to get the best deal.

But that would mean no more Bebe like deals for him. I do see what you're saying though.

Verm and Rio ahead of Evans every day of the week for me. And yeah I did say 'one of the best' in my initial post. Hmmm... Rio yes. Honestly, I'd probably stick Evans and Vermaelen on about the same level. On topic, Nani must stay.

hope Nani stays. pretty sure he will sign a new contract when he returns from the Euros, but hopefully with a Euro winners medal around his neck if England dont win it. imo the tabloids need some gossip to fill their pages. but if Nani wants 130 k, then i feel he is worth it. for the £30 mil rumoured selling price though we could get some players that can be even better than Nani, e.g. James Rodriguez of Porto is good, plus he is left footed and none of our wingers are left footed. still, 99% sure Nani is going to sign a new one when he returns to Old Trafford before preseason.

Awh. What nice things he says. He can stay. I particularly like the part where he gets in a dig at city being lucky. Well in Jeff.

Nani was never going anywhere.
People putting two and two together and coming out with five.
Stories regarding United don't refuse ink, happy this is being nipped in the bud as it wasn't happening in the first place.

I seriously hope he stays. Amazing skills and only guy in our squad who is unpredictable. Yes he is inconsistent but I would pick him over young to start on the left wing cos Tony V has the right wing covered. Hope all this stuff about his contract gets sorted out soon.

Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a surprise swoop for Manchester United winger Nani. Nani, whose contract expires in 2014, has yet to agree a new deal Old Trafford, despite Manchester United’s desire to extend his stay at the club. And according to protransfers.ru, Real Madrid are poised to capitalise on Nani’s failure to agree a new contract by testing United’s resolve with a £19.7m offer for the 25-year-old. The Spanish champions believe their proposal could be boosted by the fact that Nani’s agent Jorge Mendes also represents Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernabeu boss Jose Mourinho. However, free-spending Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are also interested in Nani, and they’ve earmarked the Portuguese winger as the latest high-profile target to join the club.
