It pisses me off when people say sell Nani and sign Bale. As other people have mentioned if he wasn't already ours people would be frothing over him.

I'd Say a lot of our players aren't cherished enough by fans.
Evans, Fletcher, Carrick, Evra( when he joined), Chico, Welbeck.. could go on.

Its like unless they are individually responsible for Match Winners or Cup winners they ain't worthy. Pretty short sighted IMO

I actually think we have some of the most patient and loyal fans in the world. We tend to love our players so much that we go overboard at times. Its not all bad, as in the case of Ronaldo. Had he been playing at Madrid when he was 18, they would have been calling for his head after a year.
However, when you look at players like Anderson, its difficult to imagine how we still have fans extolling his virtues after many a season of repetitive failure.
Evans is a good center half who can do a decent job on his day but to call him one of the best in the league is a bit over the top in my opinion.

Who said Evans is one of the best in the league? The lad just had a pivotal season lets not jinx it by overhyping it please. Lets just hope he continues in his vein of form, that's what I wish for really.

Just because he isn't on the same level as the best of best, doesn't mean he isn't one of the best.

Im not saying he isnt good, I rate him but those two are miles ahead of him and they are the best, though both are inferior to a fit Rio(I know!) IMO, to say one of the best would suggest he is close to being on par with those two and Johnny just isnt, yet.

Like Vidic, JE needs to have a speedy partner beside him or his lack of pace is exposed.
