That Sigurdsson story is complete horse-shit. If we wanted him wouldn't have made sense to have hi-jacked the Swansea bid a few weeks ago?

I fear the Nani situation, don't want to lose him no matter who is coming in and as far as the Siggy news goes, was expecting it for some time from the papers - bollocks i think.

This would be a massive backwards step. Even if we bought Bale in to replace Nani it would be a backward step IMO.

yeah mate, i think bale is a top top winger, fergie wont allow him that nonsense of coming inside, he will play valencia videos and say thats what i want you to do, better still bale will get goals aswell, he can track back, he has fantastic stamina so i would be chuffed to see him come in.

Bale in a United shirt? I can almost smell everyone else's dread. We should buy just for that.

fergie wont allow him that nonsense of coming inside, he will play valencia videos and say thats what i want you to do he can play a bit though. wouldn't want him just putting balls in from the byline. he's a top player and i think he'd be a match winner for us

If he'd be any more consistent in games than Nani (not difficult) then he'd be an improvement. Also, Bale knows how to perform against City in games that actually matter. i. e. Not the Community Sheild - so nobdy brings that up.

2011-2012 Nani - 27 games, 8 goals, 10 assists Bale - 33 games , 9 goals , 10 assists
2010-2011 Nani - 9 goals , 14 assists Bale - 7 goals, 1 assist
2009-2010 Bale - 3 goals, 5 assists Nani - 4 goals , 6 assists
- soccernet
And we write off our own so easily.
Bale? MEH. I'll keep Nani.

So one ridic-good season stats-wise makes Nani an unquestionably better player? What I see there, is a spike season from Nani, and a consistent progression from Bale.
In fact, those season stats are a decent metaphor for Nani's performances. One really, really outstanding performance, a couple of decent ones. Only thing it leaves out are the really, really shit performances that can cost us.
