Anyone been?
Getting dragged up there for my stag weekend next month. Definitely going to fit in a trip to a whiskey distillery (love the stuff) but other than that we're not sure.
Can anyone recommend any good pubs/hangouts/things to do?

The Whisky (don't spell it with an 'e' in Scotland!) Museum is great, you thinking the one on the Mile?
Edinburgh is awesome, been a couple of times but not a night out.

Ah! An actual distillery. In that case, go to the whisky museum on the Mile! It's right up towards the castle, on the left somewhere.
I actually should have said to never use an 'e' in whisky, not just in Scotland. In fairness, so many people have been taught the wrong spelling I shouldn't be bothered by it. But I like to spread the word!

Went there a few years back, had a great meal at the Mussel Inn. Would recommend it if you like seafood.

Haggis and Cullen Skink are quite nice dishes if my memory serves me right, personally.

Just got back from the stag yesterday.
Top class. Would recommend Edinburgh to anyone.
Didn't get to enjoy any of the above food ideas but to be fair I wouldn't have kept it down anyway.....

Oh and bestie - we did find time for the "Scotch Whisky Experience" you were talking about up by the castle. Excellent. Really enjoyed it.

Head was ruined yesterday morning! First time I've ever had vodka at 8:45am, that's for sure.
