Haha, Carbon, I just think we're all gutted to see us linked with a player only to lose out on the basis of being outbid by a richer club.

I am not specifically referring just to Moura & more the general financial mess we are in & how it has,is & will continue to prevent us from signing the very top class players.
Hazard is one that has passed us by already this summer,Moura & RVP will be two more & they will not be last.

Everyone has confirmed, even the player said everything looks good and it suits him as he'd be able to stay with S. Paolo for a little while longer. He's spoken with Tiago Silva and Leonardo at PSG and he's even mentioned the good old "project" phrase all the oil-clubs seem to have stitched beneath their crest.

kstandhand I think that missing out on Hazard will be a blessing I doubt that very much  I am not overly bothered about Moura,another prospect just a very expensive one. We need a couple of players that are ready to do it now,we needed them last summer,the need is even greater now & less likely to happen because the debt has become less manageable than it was 12 months. What makes both Moura & RVP & the highly highly probable snubs is that Fergie has confirmed interest in both,as embarrsing as the Ronaldinho saga a long time ago! |

The one major positive in both Hazard and Moura's case is we won't be the feeder club for Real. Let's be honest, they will both end up at either of the Spanish giants in the next 4-5 years - I hate that feeling.

I hate that too, but ask yourself this, would you want us to have not bought Ronaldo if you knew he would end up at Madrid?
Do you think Arsenal fans wish they'd never bought Vieira or Henry, even though they had to constantly deal with will they-won't they transfer sagas each summer.
I would prefer if we bought a player who would be with us for life, but if we bought Moura and after 5 successful years we sell him to Real for a profit, I won't mind.
